My god, I am officially done with halflife2.net. It's a real shame too, because it's a fantastic site. I just can't deal with all the stupid whining shitheads around here. How many game developers give you a weekly update of what's going on after they release their game??

I was as surprised as everyone else, but they have been updating half-life 2. They obviously still want to support Half-Life, and they're allowed to do that. There aren't any URGENT issues with hl2 that needed top priority, and you'll find that there's just one or two guys that still work on...
You should be comparing licences for DOOM and Half-Life tech. The Unreal engine 3 isn't a competitor to Source. UE3 is designed to be a next generation engine.
There are far more interesting things happening at E3, like the mystery surrounding the Nintendo Revolution and the other consoles...
Some of you should try some basic programming, so that you might have some concept of the difficulty in solving certain bugs. Bugs that may seem trivial to you may be very hard to track down and even harder to fix without breaking something.
