It kinda goes against my principles to have more programs installed then the one I actually need. If if Buy HL2 I don't want to HAVE to install and maintain a bunch of other software aswell. It just gets annoying, not to mention there are more elements that can go wrong.
Also, Steam as a...
Bah! You kids today... All conductive and stuff... pfeh! :>
I'm sitting on a chair with plastic wheels, there really isn't anywhere for any kind of electricity to go. And I've actually never killed a single component due to ESD or anything like that.
Yeah, I stuck my hand in there and felt the heatspreaders... They were quite warm, but not even as warm as my old trustworthy Palomino 2000+ :>
It's warm alright, but not burning up.
Hmm... For some reason my game keeps crashing on me, after playing for a little while. Anyone else experiencing this?
I suspect it's my graphics-card though... passive cooling on an x800xl :)
And they aren't? When I look at the wiki, I see lots and lots of great opinions.
This is a discussion forum, we discuss things. This particular thread happens to be about the new Steam skin. deal with it :)
...Which is the PERFECT time to express our opinions about, as the developers have plenty of time making changes before releasin the final product. Follow me?
We're talking relative space here, not absolute. Andunless you're running 800x600, not every program runs in fullscreen...
Relative to other programs, the new Steam skin takes up more of your screen, simply because it's got these very beautiful curves and sexy shadows (anyone tasting my...
Oh god... no...
Everyone who has used Photoshop know the term 'filtertastic'. Guess what I think the new Steam Interface is?
I don't use Steam very often, I just use it to launch HL2 once in a while. This is a big step backwards. The new interface is big, bulky and ugly. If the old design was...
Sorry to ressurect an old thread, but I'd really like to know what happened to HL2dq aswell. Last time I heard from them, the project was going well.
If anyone knows something, or has a different URL for their homepage (which is still down), please tell us
I don't know whether to laugh or to cry...
I didn't even read the readme, I just unzipped everything into the SourceMods-folder (*hint hint*) and started steam. Lo and behold, there was the name of the mod, right there in the Steam Games menu. Could it be any easier?
That's right!
I actually made some carousells bunnyhop, using Garry's Mod :D
just watch it here
I'll work on getting it mirrored. I know the server's very slow.
I also find it funny how Rammstein chose to sample the Gauss Cannon from HL1 in their song "Moskau" :D
Just before the chrorus, you can hear the Gauss cannong winding up.
Europe doesn't even seem to get the different versions... Our store got 2000 copies of Gordon, in a DVD-case... no cardboard box or artwork... just the plastic, the DVD and a small paper with install instructions. Cheap, Vivendi, very cheap :(
The game doesn't require anything lower than DX6, so you should be in the clear. However, for maximum performance, you'd want to upgrade to the latest DX drivers.
...And please use that language we like to call english, not that retarded grunting you use...
I have the strategy guide in my lap as I write this, but all I do is read the first few pages over and over again :D
I'm not going to spoil the game for myself, I could have done that ages ago with the leak... but I didn't.
And I'm simply not that kind of gamer that plays the game over and...
