I think that in the very last Half-Life game, which may/may not be HL2:EP3, Gordon should sacrifice himself for humanity. But the player should have to take the choice. Maybe a false choice like HL1, didn't really like the Fallout 3 approach.
I live in Norway and we don't use euro! And why does the games cost the same amounts of euros like it did with dollars, the games are much more expensive now! Is there anyway to change back to dollars? If not I have to buy games in a real store from now on.
Well Ken Birdwell(Senior Software Development Engineer at Valve)confirms that the Advisors get a "fairly crude copy of both memories and emotional response characteristics of the unfortunate recipient of the procedure". Just read my last post!
Maybe the vorts helps the grieving Alyx and Gordon to get some sleep. They do their usual "magic" and then they dont have to show a hour long helicopter ride. Then Gordon dont sleep by himself and the player/Gordon is just forced to sleep.
Knowledge and memories are in the extremely complicated way the brain nerves connect to each other, at least this is what we think today, we really dont know much about how knowledge and memories get stored in the brain. If the theory I first mentioned is right then destroying the brain would...
Well Alyx says your a man "of few words" so I dont think Gordon ever speaks. The main goal of this is as many have said, that the player is Gordon. The characters dont seem to care or notice that Gordon dont talk, maybe he just uses a lot of body language?
The Combine already know that Something is happening at the Borealis, we saw them following Judith on her film. They may not know whats there, but they know its something they should get rather than the rebels. So the Advisors getting info is not needed for the Combine to fight you in EP3. I...
Somone should send a mail to Gabe! :P My opinion is that Half-Life have never been extremely realistic, they never wanted it to be that, but a lot of the science of the Half-Life universe makes sense and is belivable. That sucking a brain out or eating it gives you its knowledge do not make...
Yes I agree, and I dont think the Combine know more about the human brain than the humans. Because if we cant get info out of a living or dead brain, how should they be able to do it?
But I think advisors get more out of it than just a kill, maybe they really like human brains!
