Help Needed
A small mod, entitled 1,260 Days, is in need of some help from some talented developers. We are currently in need of the following:
-Concept Artist (We need someone who can draw weapon, vehicle, enemy, character, scenery concepts)
-3d Character Modeler (This person must know how to model organic characters, either the main player, or zombies)
-Texture Artist (Someone who can skin character models, static meshes, and can create textures for the maps)
-Model Rigger (Someone who can rig up the models, preferably the same person who is modeling the characters)
-Model Animator & Compiler (Someone who can animate a rigged model and can compile it with an included skin)

If you are interested in joining the team, please e-mail me at [email protected] and send a short resume and/or previous examples of your work. For those that are interested in the mod, you can find more info below.

Description
1,260 Days
“Time, times, and a half a time” Revelations 12:14

Summary:
This quote from the Bible refers to the three and a half years of which evil will rule over the earth before the final Day of Judgment. In this game, you play as a typical guy who left the big city to go find another life back at his hometown, from all the stress of his girlfriend, the police, and all the quarrels he had with the people in NY.

Upon driving home to Azuera Valley, he makes a tragic stop when he hits the border of a town that seems to be deserted from of all "Living" life.

Stuck in this town, he must find a way out, or at least a means of complete safety.

Game play:
This is a complete survival horror game project. There is no HUD, the Half-Life 2 weapons system, advanced graphics and physics, HDR technology, and advanced lip syncing that create a mod unsurpassed in its genre. “Zombies” are not slow, but regular speed due to that they are not really zombies but risen souls of the dead. The game takes place in a shanty town on the shore side. This creates a great mood (Fog, zombies out of graves and ocean, creepy wood buildings, and a great place to display HDR) for the game and allows the player to feel like they are in a real life location. Settings for levels will range from the wooden pier, to a narrow bridge, to a lighthouse.

I don't really like the sound. There are a good, I'm gonna go with billion zombie mods out there already, as well as deserted towns. Not to mention getting 'stuck' in a town when driving through it?

Plus Revelations does not limit 'evil' to being zombies, and limiting the mod that way will be kind of silly.

And there's no way to win. At best you can make the mod last the full 3 and a half years, and then be Judged, and yay you win?

I dunno, it seems like a poor idea to me. Plus you need to hire pretty much the entire team, which suggests a lack of finished work.

so u listed HL2's features as your gameplay features? Sounds like your just making replacement maps and models for HL2, and even then, the map settings sound a lot like a few HL2 Single Player settings.

website address would be a good idea to list also.

also sounds like you got your job descriptions mixed around a little there. An animator typically wouldn#t be the one creating the qc file and compiling your whole model, they'd only export the animations for the model, a coder would do the other [none animation] stuff.
