Channel 4 did a(nother) top 100 run down, this time of scary moments in film, television and music

The List

(May take a while to load up)

Just thought someone might be interested....

Yeah, watched both parts of it. Pretty interesting that The Shining won, though. Thought the Exorcist might pull ahead.

Was incredibly glad to see The League of Gentlemen's Papa Lazarou there though, heh! :D

Barely any of those are what I would call "creepy," even. At least the gave credit to Aphex Twins, and made Shining #1, rather than something idiotic. Too bad they didn't include Xtro, or Comunion. Those movies were scary. Even when I watch them now; I get that paranoid feeling.

I don't know what idiots voted for half the things in the top50, but the fact league of gentlemen, an advert, carry on screaming and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER were among them shows this list was more like the top100 comedy moments.

Yes Papa is cool and twisted, yes the advert was somewhat freaky and yes the buffy episode they showed clips from was rather evil but top100? let along top50? ahahahahahaa, no.

We OBVIOUSLY have some really thick people in our country because 80% of them called in and voted on half this stuff.

You want scary moments? Any intelligent person can give you 100 scary moments which will make you freak out ten seconds after you hit the light switch, make you jump out of bed when you think you feel something running along your skin and certainly have you looking over your shoulder.

This list can only be described as pathetic :)

... Any moment when you just know that ol' Jason V. is about to strike...

... Ki, Ki, Ki, Ma, Ma, Ma...

Hmmm, i still remember the scene in the exorcist where the girls runs down the stairs upside down, on her back and running on her arms and legs. Scary.

Oh and Coronation Street - Richard the killer at number 32...

I'm serious when I say we have some really thick people in our country.

My mummy won't let me see Exorcist. Boo hoo!;(

How about Mimic? That was full of spooky moments.

EDIT: Yeah, D33, I noticed. We all noticed.

You're talking 'bout America, right?

To be honest with you, i haven't actually seen the exorcist thanks to all the scary stories and my mum (who is a mad scottish crack whore) said she was scared by it. Last night was the first time i got the courage to actually watch some footage of it, i might watch it when its on next week (if i dont crap my pants!)

AMERICA RULEZ!!!!!11!11!1!1!!!
.... huh...?
why the hell is snow white in there?

i though aliens was scary myself ;)
but seriuosly, the shining was my most scary, but then i dont see scary films that much, for the fact that there scary and i dont like being scared, heh heh dont call me a wimp or i'll have to flame you. :D

Man some people have a very different view to what is a scary moment than I do...

Not sure which is worse, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" at #37, or "The Blair Witch Project" even being on the list. And how in the world can "The Ring" and "The Blair Witch Project" be above the all time classic "Halloween"?

I would have to say "The Exorcist" is still my all time favorite scary movie and can still send a chill up my back.

I havent seen much of the exorcist, but what i did see didnt make me scared...
...Halloween is rubbish, i got bored of it, it wasnt scary, just a hack fest like Scream...
...Blair witch scared me, still scares me now, i love that film....the ring also scared me...they both have that quailty that i cant quite explain.
...I liked the shining, but it wasnt as scary as people made it out to be....I dunno maybe I dont get that scared, like Aliens, that didnt scare me....

I tell you what clip on the programme had me a bit unsettled, it was for Don't Look Now when the """"""girl"""""" in the red coat turned around from the corner. What the hell was that thing?

d33....the public only had a list to choose from so if anything....its channel 4 that are complete dumbasses

Alien was shit scary when I first saw it.... but then it was late at night with all the lights of and I was only 11 at the time. :x

The Shining wasn't scary at all, I was just bored through the whole movie although I usually get scared pretty easy.

If you have the courage then click on the link above.

The above site is a good practice for the upcoming game DOOM3;(

How about "THE CUBE" and "EVENT HORIZON". Those are two creepy movies, and not because of what you see on the screen. The tension crawls under the skin as you anticipate what is to come next. I recommend them.

G0rgon, you should know by now that a site like that is out of bounds. Don't do it again.

Blair Witch Project in the top 10!??

Possibly the worst, and least scary movie i've seen :/
