Looks partially cool, and partially 'ooh look we're so viral and edgy'.
 
what I hate are those two links he posted in the vid description implaying cuz Pirates of the Caribean was the only announced movie for 2012 that must mean the world will end....what a crock!
 
Sorry, I assumed that this wasn't a angry rant thread, seeing as it's not in politics.
Do you want discussion of this film, or of 'End of the world is 2012' theories?
 
both....but yeah the movie will entertaining its just sad so many people take this seriously.

Roland Emmerich couldn't direct his way out of a paper bag filled with Broetchen. This guy hasn't made a decent movie since the mid 90's.
 
i kinda liked it, apart from basing a movie on a really really stupid epic hoax .. it could be kind of cool.

He is just using the 2012 excuse for a the basis of a end-of-world concept for a film, anyone who actually believes that deserves to be thrown out of a plane. Looks ok I guess, probably be shit.

I hope the world ends before this even gets released... Just to shut everyone up.
 
I hope he uses every single crazy theory/supposed event for 2012, so we finally get a movie where mountains collapse and the oceans overflow, causing the Martians to return to harvest us--which the government, who is secretly made up of Reptilians, has known about and kept secret because they're at war with the Martians and another space race--but then there's a final battle between all the sides and God comes down to lead his armies and then dinosaurs return to aid Satan in battle.

In the end, God and Satan have to team up to fight off the Reptilians, who have managed to summon their Space God-Lizard to do battle with the human God, and Jesus Christ rides into battle on a dragon as Eye of the Tiger plays and explosions engulf the screen.
 
And the aztecs and shit are just hanging around smokin a bowl, like, dude.

Roland Emmerich is alright, but the only film i like of his is stargate.

NOOOOOOO!!! why? why the **** would you give someone who makes gimmicky summer blockbuster fluff a realistic movie about the horrors of war? he'll turn some of the more horrific scenes in the movie/book into a fist pumping patriotic scene of bravery and heroism.

besides michael bay I cant think of a worse choice than emmerich
 
Hell, I think Bay is an artist compared to Emmerich. Bay just aims really low in what he shoots for with his movies, whereas Emmerich is just trying to do the same sort of stuff and comes off as being inept.
