80s music

ya I saw them during one tour where Dickenson had a leather jacket that lit up with flashing lights ...they went downhill from there

I don't know if they've been mentioned but I listen to the Talking Heads almost daily.

journey - don't stop believing

reminds me of good times...been drunk a lot of times to that

Not sure what that jacket is from...possibly the Somewhere in Time era. They still did Seventh Son after that, though, so I wouldn't say they'd gone downhill just yet...it's really once No Prayer and Fear of the Dark appeared that they started losing it. Though, after their 90's stuff with Blaze Bailey, they really came back to form -their last two albums were excellent, and Dance of Death is just as good as the stuff done in their heyday.

ya, but Maiden was most popular during the powerslave album ..they sold out in an hour when they came to town on that tour, scalped tickets were going for $100 each, which was outrageous at the time

I guess I'm an old timer but my fave albums were Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, and Powerslave. My first Maiden album was Killers way back in 1981 I think which had a different singer ...my first maiden song was Women in Uniform

hey I just realised you're from TO ...I saw them at the gardens for the powerslave and somewhere in time tour

Yeah, their first two albums, the self-titled and Killers had a different singer, who got kicked out of the band for drug or alcohol abuse, I think. I'm still quite a fan of their early stuff, make no mistake, but I still like (or love) everything they've done. Even the stuff in the 90's I've learned to appreciate, even though it may not be that great overall for a band of their caliber.

The Singer was Paul Di'anno. Im pretty sure he was kicked out of Maiden becuase he was actually arrested for drug abuse. Not 100% sure but pretty sure. Bruce is the better singer anyway, but Di'anno is still really good. Better then Blaze was on Virtual XI and The X Factor.

As for 80's pic of Maiden this is about the only one I could find. Who really cares how they look though, the music is what matters.
