8600GT users favour...

Can anyone with an 8600GT try this demo and tell me if it runs slowly when the enemies view cones are active. Or look in the graphics menu and tell me if your cursor is sluggish.

It should work fine mate, I have a 7600GO on my laptop (pretty shoddy) and it runs commandos 3 fine.

That game's like 8 years old. It played fine when I had a Geforce 2 MX.

But there's an issue with 8600GT's and a certain 2D rendering problem, but only when the view cones are active. Another person with the issue here.

It happens with Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood demo too, which is a similar 2D game like Commandos.

Okay, I downloaded it, and tested it. My cursor is terribly sluggish, but I don't seem to have a problem with enemy view cones or whatever. When I switched my monitor back to onboard, it seemed to work fine. strange

Oh And this game is lame, I wouldn't bother with it anyway

Desperados is better than Commandos 1/2...

Can anyone else try it? It's only sluggish when the view cones are large, rather than when they're looking at a wall.

You can try customising your game in NVIDIA' Control Panel. Change it from Standard Settings to Advanced then go to 3D settings>Manage 3D settings>Press on the Program Settings tab and add the game. Maybe there's an option there that you can change that might help you with the game.
