The religious crap does spoil it, but ignore that and see that they are still paintings. And they are good paintings, she didn't do them but they are good.
 
If God really did give her those talents, I wouldn't be impressed. I mean come on, if God gives it to you, you didn't really do any work, huh? If she learned all of this on her own, that's impressive.

If she painted that lion at age 7, pigs are now flying.
 
Gosh Fenric, God sure raped your mother and killed your whole family, you just hate religious art eh. (Pure history of art, all the masters of old with their paintings spoiled by religious crap).

No I just hate people who try cram their religion down people's throats pulling stunts like this. Everyone is entitled to what they believe in, but that doesn't give them a right to make others who don't, feel inferior.

If you'd read my posts you'd clearly see I was saying the art was good and the religious crap spoils it.

He wasn't talking about the religous content of the art itself, but the overzealous religous 'aura' that the website/gimmick gives off.

I completely agree with you dark elf. Thinking logically - surely it's impossible for a child to paint that well when the brain hasn't developed the necessary amounts of intelligence to be able to comprehend light and shade realistically? maybe if she was in her mid teens- but i mean those paintings are PERFECT. Even if she was gifted, it's unlikely she could paint at the best of her ability before she is even able to understand the teachings of an art tutor.
 
I remember that girl was on Oprah, she's real alright. It's no scam if it's on Oprah.

What with the growth hormones and stuff in food these days, you never know. Average age of puberty is getting lower and lower (unhealthily so)

I guess TDE is right, the whole thing is a scam in one way or another. 10 year olds don't write poetry or paint like that, they just can't, considering the matter of maturity and the experience required to paint things remotely as good as that. Where did she learn all that anatomy and color values, for instance?

Look at the "jump" between the age 6,7 and 8. What she supposedly made at an age of 6 is almost understandable. Then, look at what she made at the age of 7.. Then the age of 8, she's suddenly achieved near perfection in portraits, and it just continues with 9 and 10..

10 year olds are not capable of comprehending things required to make these kind of pieces, heck, not even I am. Older adolescents and especially adults however, have matured enough to achieve the mental capability to understand shapes, 3D, color, light, shadow and etcetera.

If it's not completely a scam, I'd say she is painting with the help of an artist or painting directly off photos or other paintings (The staring girl in red clothing is a direct painting of a National Geographic photo).

This type of skill takes several years to even get near to even if you'd put your heart to it every single day.

I like some of the paintings though, especially the symbolism.

Well, I bet not many people had heard of Jesus. Maybe they're just predicting the future. And she must be pretty well known now if you know her, in Thailand, I know her, in England, USA knows her etc...

Its a website, its not like you have t read it or believe it. I'd hardly call it "cramming it down your throat"

You can't say the art is spoiled by the religious aspect of the paintings. Its just like any other theme you might express through art. It could be for political, social or pure entertainment reasons...saying the art is spoiled by that is practically contradicting yourself. Now if its simply that you don't like it, then ok...but saying the art is somehow not as good simply because of the theme is by your own words not right.

I think shes one of those children that isn't let out and is only taught stuff by her parents all the time, so she knows how to read, multiply, divide etc when in the first grade... I hate parents like that.

Maxi, you mean home educated. I wouldn't be suprised if she was because of the attitude she is going at it from. I was brought up in a Christian home and expected to behave Christian, but I have no idea what I think, and I definitely don't produce my art on a theme like that. That child must've been brainwashed
