If Mexican immigrants rose up and returned California to Mexico, you can bet that America would want California back at any cost. Don't you remember the last time some States tried to get away?

Its not quite the same, the land is still under the control of the USA. Using that comparison would only be accurate if suddenly Mexico attacked the US for posession of the American southwest because they used to live there.
Or if the Native Americans tried to drive everyone else off the continent. Or if the Aborigines were to drive away all the Australians.

Just about all the land people live on right now was taken from someone else, its the dirty truth about how humanity works. Conquer and move in. Israel currently owns that land, its theirs, they live there now. Now they are fighting to keep it. They are a soveign nation that has established itself. Most of them were born there. They have every right to live there.

Maybe if the other surrounding countries kicked them out before they had a chance to establish some 60 years ago this mess wouldn't exist today, but they screwed that up, and now there is an Israel. The other nations should've learned to accept that, but Noooo. They just keep picking at the scab. And then Israel retaliates, and the cycle begins anew.

Thats why i side with Israel.

Okay, your arguement sucks. If every time when people say something, you reply as "Look at your own country... bleh bleh bleh". There is no discussion at all. As you said, every country has do something wrong, you can piss EVERYONE off with this sentence. "Look at your own country first" is the worst arguement ever. People have nothing to do with their country, unless they are the president of it.

What Israel is doing right now is simply taking the kid gloves off and saying "to hell with public opinion" They've been limited in their actions up to now and are finally going all out. Their intent is to make this war against Hezbollah fast, brutal, and decisive to solve the problem now. So that it doens't fester and rear up any time soon. Of course as in any war there will be casualties and horrible things will happen, Israel knows this, but they also know that you cannot win a war by tying your own hands behind your back. So yes, innocents will die. Especially since organizations like Hezbollah have a habit of placing their troops and weapons among civilian establishments in an attempt to generate pity corpses for public opinion. Its a very screwed up situation.
