A month seems sooo far away

I feel for ya, man. When I saw the date that's what went through my head too. But at least we finally know when it's coming out. It's been about a year and a half of anticipation. When you think of how much waiting there has been total, then it's not too bad.

To be exactly it's less than a month. But now we have a exact date to look out for. And that's something we hadn't for a long time. The feeling I have now reminds me of Sept 2003. At that moment it was supposed to be only a month away too.

For me that isn't far away at all. My time scale goes by quickly since I'm always busy at work and have other projects. I'm just now gearing up to build a LAN party room in my basement and now I've got a goal to get it done in time for Half Life 2 :) It'll be close but I think I can get the whole room done in 29 days and counting

it's so funny, when you don't know the date and u wait for years - and then a month to go seems so far :p

I won't play until I'm done with my finals, though

Last year the game hadn't gone gold, had it? Now it's different.

I can take it because this means game is finished, no more waiting and speculation weather VU will approve it or not this time game is finished and is being duplicated and shipped all over the world. 1 month will go very quick. When doom3 was gold it felt for me like forever but when i didnt think so much of the game it went real fast and before i knew it the game was at my door one day.

Same with HL2 but this time i will wet my pants i think of satisfaction.

This is like being a little kid before christmas or something!!!

I've been waiting 6 facking years and you tell me that a month is a long time?

the game seems a lot closer now that it has a release date.

Keep yourself on buisy, play some of the other great games out there right now. Get a copy of "Rome:Totalwar" or some of the other raw RTS games, or some of the older FPS games that you didnt get a chance to play Like "Call of Duty" or some twitch gaming with Unreal04 games and mod's. Get into CS: Source or Standard CS, Replay Halflife 1 to remember what exactly the story is about in preperation for Part 2, Revisit Halflife Death match, Revisit Team Fortress Classic, Firearms, ricochet. Get into Day of Defeat. Theres things you can do to fill the gap between now and release day. Work it

I've started playing UT2004 again, it has fantastic mods just like HL and HL2. And a few days ago the final version of the mod Desert Combat was released for BF1942, and it's called Desert Combat Final (d0h), and that's pretty cool too. Or maybe there are some HL singleplayer mods you haven't tried yet.
