This is the reason I have disallowed the use of sprays on my server.
Why do people think it's stupid? Because apparently "spraying" someone comes with the term of "owning" someone. Let us look into what it means to be "owned".
You got owned
It seems in Counter-Strike that killing someone you have the right to say "You got owned". More importantly, the new fad is to spell it wrong, e.g. "pwned", "pwnt", "pwnz0r" etc.
Lets break down the most popular slangs you get called in CS. Usually if I get killed pretty quickly I am "owned", "n*ggered", "raped" etc.
We'll examine these three since they are the most popular.
1. Owned:To have or possess as property.
2. n*gger: (ethnic slur) offensive name for a Black person. Some say it means "lazy" and others "ignorant".
3. Rape: To force (another person) to submit to sex acts, especially sexual intercourse; commit rape on.
To tell me I have been "owned" seems to mean they "own" my life, my house, my car, my wife and everything else. To say I was "n*ggered" can only mean that I was ethnically made to look like a lazy dumbass. And of course, saying I was "raped" means I was forced into a sexual act or taken advantage of.
Black Slaves?
Back in the 1700's... Black men who were "owned" by White men were "forced" into a ship and sent to the Americas and sold as a "slave". Many of these slaves were racially known as a "Negro" or "n*gger". On this ship many of the black women were taken advantage of and raped sexually by the White "slave" "owners". Think about this next time you tell someone they've been "owned".

What does any of this have to do with anything? Well let us look what you are saying to someone next time you make a kill in Counter-Strike.
To say "you were owned", "you got n*ggered" or "you've been raped"--or even saying them all together... e.g. "You got owned, n*gger"--is to call someone a "owned negro slave who gets sexually taken advantage of".
Why is this important to know? Since when does pressing a mouse faster and aiming better at a 3-dimenstional character make you an "owned negro slave"? It doesn't. It's part of the slangs developed by bored teenagers without thinking of the reprocussions of their words.

One of the most popular "insults" besides being "owned" is "n00b". Apparently it ok to spell the word "newbie" improperly and add double zero's. Sometimes it is spelt "noob", "newb" but on rare occasions, usually when the insulter is having a nice day.
Let us look at the other common three insults to be called:
1. Newbie: a novice at using computer technology or the Internet.
2. Jew: A member of the widely dispersed people originally descended from the ancient Hebrews and sharing an ethnic heritage based on Judaism.
3. STFU: To "shut the f*ck up" or forcefully be told to not speak.
So what are you saying when you say "stfu n00b" or "stfu jew"? You're saying "shut the f*ck up you native of the ancient kingdom of Judah who can't operate a computer." Some may not find this funny.
Console Novice?
Can a "novice" really play CS? Well what does it take to get on a server? For one you have to install CS. Not to mention you have to load it up, configure your keyboard, find a server and play. Does not knowing how to enable the console make you a "n00b"? Well let's see... Since you have to load the Game, go to Options, select the Keyboard tab, push Advanced and enable Console than the answer is NO--You are not a "n00b" if you don't know how to enable the console. Why? Not many users do Advanced settings or care to see what is in them. If someone doesn't know how to enable the console menu don't call them a "n00b". Instead, call them "half-witted", "learn to check every option first before asking on a server with 'l33t' people", "check the internet or message boards before asking", or simply tell the answer to this "novice" user who didn't bother looking for it.

So what do "sprays" have to do with anything? Well what do people use "sprays" for? The thing nowadays seems to be you shoot someone--also known as "owned"--and then spray their body. Here is an example:

1. One cannot "own" you since slavery was abolished. Also, it's not pwned or pwnt... it's "owned", spell it right... but first know what it really means.
2. Telling someone they've been "n*ggered" is NOT an insult, rather you are insulting your own intelligence by saying it.
3. Killing someone and even the whole team is not "rape". Unless you sodomized the opposing team of males, again, you are simply insulting your own intelligence and quite possibly your sexuality.
4. Being called a "Jew" is simply stupid. Next time I get called a "jew" I'm calling you a catholic.
5. Again with the "n00b" remark, spell it right but also know what it means. The correct way to spell it is "newbie" but most importantly know what it means. Asking a question does not make you a novice at internet or computer technology.
6. Telling someone to "shut the f*ck up" (STFU) is not nice. You should try "Please be quiet" or even "Can you please not talk right now?"

So next time you want to tell someone to "stfu", "you've been pwned", "you got n*ggered", "I just raped you all", "you jew" or "n00b" you may be saying:
