what my question is how many chapters were in Half life?

because 13 doesn't sound alot to me i dont know why. So i was wondering how many chapters were in half life. because i know half life was Very long game hehe

No it wasn't. I think I beat it in 10-12 hours max the first time I played it. Hardly a long game by todays standards. And I don't play games quickly. I'm going to take atleast 30 hours to beat Doom 3.

There is no way to say one way or the other. A chapter might be 10 minutes long or it might be 10 hours long. It really can't tell you anything about the game length without further info.

There were 17 in hl. But I'm pretty sure hl2's chapters will be really long.

Awesome, I think it will be 12 hours per chapter for us because we'll be so preocupied with picking up soda cans that we won't care about that combine soldier tryin to make us swiss cheese.

Yeah, some HL1 chapters were fairly short. The short time before the accident was a full chapter, as were the battles with Gonarch and Nihilanth.

On topic i will take about 100 hours.
I really take my time in games looking at every detail talking to every npc im sure i will take 2 or 3 hours just finding new ways to irritate the combines maybe asking how old they are that seems to work just fine

HL took me about 7 hours straight playing on Normal. I saw in an interview with Gabe Newell at E3 that Hl2 would be about the same length as HL1.

Well, I think he asked the question mainly because your first language is english, and no offense, but if you're 18-19 years old and live in London it isn't so common to use your grammar or terms like "lol".
