Also, if that came of as a fanboyish crack, I've already been through two 360s and still playing it, so yeah. Leaving it running for an achievement still doesn't sound like the smartest idea, but hey, it's your hardware.

How does it differ from playing it for hours at a time (which i also do)?

Because you're leaving it on to get an achievement which involves playing just shy of 2000 games. Unless I misunderstood, or you're doing it over a series of weeks/months.

The way im doing it takes over 40 hours to complete.

Im not leaving it on overnight as i wont sleep with it on, and i dont want it disturbing me when im watching tv, so the only time it will be on is the 8 hours im at work.So it will be over 5/6 days.

Considering the heating wont be on (with no-one in the house), i don't think it will cause a problem.

i spent like 2 hours on a dods achievement server now i have 80%+ achievements
and 100% tf2 achievemnts (somehow :|)
