advanced video settings

Whenever I play halflife 2 and I try to change the advance video changes the game crashes

I assume your game works at the default settings? (The ones with the asterisks next to them in the drop down menus.) Are you making huge changes for this to happen, or are you, for example, upping the antialiasing settings by one?

they are very low my hard ware can only go as high as directx 6

I had this problem, i used a DX level 6 card before i upgraded. Basically, you need to upgrade the card. (Also, does it crash when it autosaves or quicksaves? It did that to me)

I have almost the same problem, when I change my model setting to high in advanced the game crashes to desktop.

My Specs:
3400+
1024mb Ram
6600gt

Any chance there could be something wrong with the framework.net as I get a problem trying to load up the bf2autoloader

it crashes if you press aply even if you dont change anything...
