I don't think they will put this in HL2 at all. Would only really work well with online games.

And only modern-y ones.

I'm not enthusiastic about any form on in-game advertizing. I am enthustiastic about people hacking and altering in-games ads, though, as there could be some funny stuff in that.

Most common Counterstrike player language would be English but how many Counterstrike maps are set in English-speaking locations? You'd need logos for companies rather than worded ads in many cases. With advertizing, it really has to be built into the map from the start otherwise it's going to stand out to everyone when added later.
