Hello,
My name is Matt, I've worked on a mod previously for HL1, and I've learned quite a bit from my experience as part of the team.
I'm a dedicated leader, I am easy to contact, and I've always time for people.
CURRENT STATUS:
I am looking for coders who are dedicated, communicate well, and have time to enjoy our company and work together on the MOD.
I am looking for modelers who are dedicated, communicate well, and has the ability to export his own models, and an understanding, or willingness to learn the particle system for the models. (to simulate cloth and various effects)
I am looking for digi-artists, some one who can produce concept art, MOD 'propaganda', textures, and skins (or a combination of these).
THE STOREY:
The name of the MOD is Afflicted; affliction means to burden with great missery, or pain.
The MOD takes place during current times, In the cities where we live (well, maybe you, I live on a farm ;>).
There are two forces at work in the cities, The Champions of Light and the Forces of Evil.
Within each force there will be Lineages such as the vampires for the forces of evil.
Vampires would originate from their weaker sub-classes of ghouls, fight and kill to gain experience, which would allow them to progress to more advanced stages of vampirism.
Some abilities of the vampire lineage would include diseasing enemies, syphoning their life, the ability to hide within the shadows, and even flight.
ABOUT THE CONCEPT
The basic concept is 2 waring factions that must complete an objective to eliminate the opposing faction.
During this process it is possible for 1 faction member to slay several opponents, which would cause them to recieve a bonus, and play global music from a repository for their faction and lineage only. This is to create a climactic event, and let you know whos doing the ass-kicking.
I have some music that I am working on, and sounds as well.
I will be handling all of the sound-art and directing voice actors and mappers to create a world rich in atmosphere, exciting environments, and ambience to surround the players to envelope them within the game.
There is more to be said, but I will leave it up to people to ask simple or creative questions.
