Here are some screencaptures from the Aftermath video I found interesting

In the first pic, the stalker has a hole in it's neck. Last time I tried to scream with a hole in my neck it didn't work so well.

In the second pic, Alyx and dog appear to be standing at the entrance to a cave or tunnel, or maybe I'm just plain wrong.

Just my 2 cents

DISREGARD THE ATTACHMENTS

EDIT: Fouled up the pic with my screen capture prog, will fix soon in the meantime, look at second 21 and second 24 in the vid

The Stalker screamed in Hl2 with the same neck augmentations as in Aftermath.

That's not even a real hole. It's like that button thingie on the back of one's neck in The Matrix.

Nothing special. You're over-analysing it. And doing a poor job at that, too.

I'd have to say your over-Assholing it

I'd have to say your both moving the thread in a direction that isn't positive. I suggest you stop.

Why is there always one person that has to be an arse and say something like that?

Just keep it to your self if you have nothing nice to say.

Ooooh - he's quite the persuasive debater...

Come on dude, you can do better than that, surely?

I'm not the one pointing out that Stalkers have holes in their necks. First off, that's not a hole. Second, who the hell cares if they have a hole or not (though it's not even a hole...)? If you're trying to point out a glitch or show Valve made a mistake or slipped up somewhere - you'll end up slipping up yourself. No need to be so itchy about it...

We'll keep going off-topic, because there isn't actually much to discuss.

No offense. I only stated my opinion.

Jeez the animosity here is palpable.
You could cut it like Scooby Doo fog.

So… on the topic of the video… The ending has a clip a G-Man saying, “We’ll see about that.” He seems very irritated as he mutters the last word. I can’t wait to see what could elicit such a response from him.

You and the rest of the world mate! atfirst i didnt think it was gman because from what we've seen of him, we got the impression he was devoid in emotions, but now after hearing it again hearing the way this person speaks, the pacing and word spacing, it's become obvious that it's HIM.

anyway, back to the stalkers, ive been messing about with them in garrysmod so ive grown accustomed to them now and so dont find them frightening, but the ones in garrysmod now seem to be a lower class stalker, or an older model, the ones from the video teaser and the first stalker we see in hl2 are much more frightening.

i hope the stalkers do actually stalk gordon. i hope we get to see the
Cremator
enemy too.

The Cremator would be an interesting enemy, it is very plausible since there is ones head in Eli's lab which in turn concludes that they are part of the Half-life universe. And they have a kick ass energy spray hose thing to boot.

Cremators would be great, but I am certain we won't see any of them in Aftermath... They don't actually fit in the theme of Aftermath. What would they do in a city which is about to get wiped off of earth? Combine soldiers are there to stop you, antlions are instinctively there (we have seen that they don't fear anything but thumpers), and cremators? They'd be great, but... I doubt Valve will look into that.

Ther citizens are fleeing the city in mass panic, Cremators could easily be brought in to slow the madness. That was their purpose afterall, to stop riots etc.

But we'll see.

With the city about to blow, the citizens in a rebelling-rioting-rampage and the xenoforms rushing in through every crack the Overwatch would have to deploy every single asset for emergency purposes, even if the "janitors" (although we already know they use a very deadly weapon as a tool.)

Think of the civil rights demonstrations of the 1960's. To control these "rioting", "trouble-makers" the city had to use their fire-fighters to hose down them down.

According to RtB they're more of glorified janitors/pest control whose job is to remove corpses and xenoforms from sectors.

"After unrest has been squelched"...True, they mainly clean up after riots etc. Though I could still see them moving in to dissolve a riot.

I think they're also a kind of symbol. They look quite intimidating and maybe people are kind of afraid of them.

"Run, the snowmen are coming!!"

:p

Joking, they do look pretty good. Its their weapons everyone would want, but thats basically just a bigger version of what happens when your hit by an energy orb.

A hose spray dissolving organic matter....how would that look like in the game?

Maybe that was one of the reasons they didn't make it into the game, a stream of liquid's looks didn't hold up to HL2's standards. Or they could have been also been using something like the Egon gun.
