Black Cat Games, developers of Alien Swarm: Infested, a squad-based commercial Source engine game reminiscent of Starship Troopers, have tipped us off to some new media and information about the game. I think this was around even before NS came around so to be fair so give em a break. Plus, they have quite a track record http://www.blackcatgames.com/swarm/awards
But I'm sure you knew this and was just poking at the fact that it does resemble SST, starcraft and such.

You can't really hate on a modification for having that Starcraft/Starship Troopers/Alien/Natural Selection/Warhammer 40k feel, it's not like any of them were original about it (with the exception of Giger's Alien concepts and sets)

It's not a mod anymore.

infested has always been planned to be a commercial game. they originally planned to create a free 'mod' version of the game as well as the commercial version but they arent going to do that any more.

well the characters are kinda lame... how cliche can they be? and their names! :S
maps and game itself look damn good though!

Glad to see that they kept the character names the same as the UT2004 mod.

yeah i played alot of the ut2k4 mod and its definitely worth the download if you own a copy of ut2k4. fun game to play with friends.
