just found out that every comcast ISP member is getting there cable upgraded to 3 mbps!!! instead of 1mbps for free!...anywhere...one day at the end of november u will all of a sudden have 3.0mbps!!....yea!:afro: :cheers: :cheese:

are u comcast member??...well im not sure about the upload...but the download sure is....anyways....they also said that they were aiming for beginning of NOv...but they had a couple bugs...they said by the end of november

Yep, I'm a Commi.. er, Comcast subscriber Used to be AT&T, but Comcast came in and bought them out where I am..

So far, the customer service has been better 10 fold and I actually got my cable line fixed, as promised 2 years before it got done by AT&T

COMCAST sucks big time. I have it, and its a slow peice of crap. 1mbps sucks, and even 3 will suck.

why do i think this all sucks? i used to have optimum online. IT basically had no cap. It went up to 10mpbs i used to dload things at ~600 kilobytes per sec. Now im stuck at ~100.

Guess what,...optimum online was cheaper as well. Sad isn't it? (reason for switching = i moved)

i think comcast is the best ive had..and ive tried tons...i get 1.5mbps downloads on steam updates and stuff..like dod 1.1.....mine is only suppose to go to 1.0 but i go at the speed tests at like 1.9

i hate comcast...it has been better latley though. Upping the speed is good.......they have to up it to compete with other cable companys.....


if you want a good ISP..and its available in your area....optimum online is about 3 times faster than comcast for the basic package.

so now ill have 3.0mbts instead of 1.5.....when i had cablevision i had 3.5............

OOL has an extremely limited market...I believe only four states have access to it only in particular areas (NJ, NY, CT, and PA). Comcast serves a hell of a lot more people than OOL does; they're the single largest cable company in the U.S. after the ATT takeover. A 3Mbps/256Kbps connection at $42 for cable subscribers from Comcast is really not bad at all, compared to many DSL and other cable offerings. OOL is a an exception that many of us can never get unfortunately.

Comcast hasn't said they would increase the upload speed again anytime soon..
