Always bet on Duke

Well, atleast they're keeping up with tradition.

Well I'm going to keep putting more money on the table. It's gonna hit Duke eventually.

... right?

I laughed so hard.

What's up with the changed date. Why is "International" earlier than the other date...?

June 10 2012 for international. The Duke effect is proportional with increased distance.

I lost it all. AGAIN. I gotta stop making these bets on Duke!

I hope the whole thing is a troll and Duke never comes out. Honestly, I'd feel weird if the game was on shelves.

^ "Duke Nukem more like Duke Nokem" :)

Best "more like" I've ever read!

Why is it that I feel it should be "Duke Nukem? More like Duke Nocum"...

More grodey, but seems more fitting.

This grodey?

You guys are crazy.

You just realised this now?

On topic, even if this turns out to be an elaborate joke, it doesn't really mater to me. The next arcade FPS I'm looking forward to is Serious Sam 3 anyway.

After the pile of ass Serious Sam 2 was and the two completely unnecessary re-releases of the original games I have no interest in Croteam anymore.

It's a shame that this specific sub-genre of FPS is so dead now, I mean sometimes you just want to take a break from all of the tacticool war-based FPSes and just mow down hordes of bizarre enemies with ridiculous weapons.

They promised a return to vintage Serious Sam, so we'll have to see...

The two things that don't sit well with me in DNF are the regenerating health and the two weapon max capacity. Why not just keep everything as it was if they're going for classic Duke game?

and the two completely unnecessary re-releases of the original games

Um, ****ing what? Have you even played them? Do you have no friends to play them with or something? They're the best possible thing that could happen to a classic set of games. Complete graphic overhaul without messing with any of what made the games great.

No, I just don't want to spend more money on something I already have.
Played the demos just to see the prettier graphics and that was enough for me.

I mean, I guess if you're someone who has never played any of the Serious Sams they're worthy purchases... but for someone who has played them to death already, might as well skip them.

Well I guess I just like the games more than you :arms:

In before DLC that only consists of more girls.

Isn't the Gamestop pre-order bonus a Big Head Mode? Remember when stuff like came with the game???

Some new info

tl;dr

- More trailers and behind the scenes info as the release approaches.
- PC version is using Steamworks and no other DRM.
- No mod tools at launch.
- They still want to do something for the diehards who've kept their 14-year-old pre-order receipts.
- No support for DX11 or PhysX in the PC version.
- They have the old unfinished 3D Realms builds of the games, and they want to share that history, but the builds "may not even run on modern systems".
- Uncensored in Australia and Germany. And the US and UK, of course.
- Some licensed music.
- Multiplayer uses the same controls and two-weapon system as single-player.
- Gearbox's involvement has mostly been polish and optimization.

Sweet mother of f*ck, my dreams of playing the 2001 E3 demo may come true!

Gearbox's involvement has mostly been polish and optimization.

Yeah right...

Translation: Gearbox's involvement has mostly been reworking the game from scratch and actaully finishing it.

I almost feel like I'm required to buy this game for the PC.

I can't believed I'm actually hyped for DN:F again. Gearbox' other games haven't even been that good (sans OP4, and kinda Borderlands <3). If the MP pans out, I'm just.. ya know... so in - and will pre-order.

So glad it's being developed for PC and ported by external developer to consoles. :)

*cough* brothers in arms *cough*
