Amd is the best on the market right now
IPC >
p4 = 6
decent athlon xp = 9
Amd 64 = 12

ipc means instructions per clock cycle you do the math!!

My 3500+ 64 bit simply wont overclocked, i've changed voltages of ram/core and changed memory speeds, everything recommended but no matter what it is unstable and crashes. I have proper cooling and my tower is built fine, I also have an obscenely powerful 600w ocz psu but no, it just wont have it.

There was a problem with the first 600W PSU series. Go check out their website it isnt.

Is it on the Winchester core?

I'm on p4 2.6 plays HL2 allright but I might consider an AMD for my next comp.
