No it isn't. I'm not a vegetarian and I don't think killing animals for food is by definition immoral, but meat is not vital. Although a point can be made for the importance of fish, but killing fish is generally not what vegetarians care about. And as if you eat meat because it's healthy to you. You eat meat because it tastes good, admit it. Like the obese West really cares about eating healthy, haha.

It's because we had a long discussion where in your points were thoroughly debated by both sides. And proven wrong weather you believe or not that it's ok to eat animals for pleasure. Then you come here, post those same points all over again.

Not only where they discussed they are also stupid, ignorant egocentric, dismissive and most of all unjustifiable, again whether you believe meat eating is alright or not. You would have known that had you put even neuron of thought of your almighty human brain in to it before ranting.

I made my first post because I was desperate and didn't know what to think of the situation. I wanted some actual VIEWS on the subject, instead of the massive and idiotic argument that the previous thread had delved into. The only actual opinions salvageable from the thread were those belonging to yourself and stern. Everything else was basically just a massive back and forth flame fest.

And I actually am gaining some good opinions on this matter. Laviasse poses some very valid points, which i've humbly agreed to. At the very least make the conditions for the animals to be slaughtered humane, because I owe them a great deal for becoming my food.

I created this thread to see what other people thought of the matter, because the previous one had made me too paranoid about it to actually THINK. And it was working fine till you came along.

My view on the topic is that Animals do deserve rights, and one of those rights is that little old rich ladies can't dress up their dogs in shirts... it's a dog... It doesn't need a shirt... It has FUR!

Also, I think it should be a global law that if animals are bred in captivity, and live in captivity, they have to be kept in the best possible conditions, or most natural conditions. I enjoy burgers, but when cows are standing on top of each other, and standing on top of dead cows getting sick, you're gonna get Ecoli burgers. I don't want my organs to burst because some farmer's too lazy to go feed the cows, and build a big enough pen. That should be a given anyways.
