Fushigi Yuugi was the best anime I ever watched before I knew what Shoujo was.

Indeed. She reminds me of Maya from Bowling King. Which, btw, is friggin' AMAZING and you should all go read it like right now.

Oh, speaking of Haruhi, I have a funny story to tell. So, every year I go to this anime convention. And 99% of my time there is spent hanging out with some dudes I know who run this doujinshi/eroge booth. And so last year I'm a very rich man, dropping over $600 on doujinshi, and one of my friends says to me, "Alright, you buy a lot of porn. You draw a lot of porn. But you know what you don't have? You don't have one of those body pillows."

"I am not a ronery guy. Why do I need one of those?"

"You just need one. It's like a status thing. You can't be a true pervert without a body pillow."

"WHO DARES CHALLENGE MY PERVERSITY?! I'll take that one, over there!"

And that's how I wound up having a Haruhi pillow on my bed right now. I use it as an actual pillow. There has (so far) been no hugging involved. I must admit, though, it is certainly not an unattractive pillow.

But I still hate the show.

Meh to the rest of your list. Also have you been reading Bleach? Good lord The Lust was like the biggest instance of power-creep I have ever seen. I raged and declared Bleach was fast losing whatever good points it had, which wasn't much to begin with. The series had gone so overboard with power-creep it was no longer amusing. It was angering and stupid.

But then I read The Ash and I almost cried like a bitch at the end. It's not fair, you know. It really isn't. Fuck Ichigo. Because of him...it isn't fair.

Also Jin, yeah, enjoy what you like. Far be it for me to shit on other peoples' enjoyment. I've always said that everyone's free to enjoy what they enjoy, but I'm still going to stand on this mountaintop yelling "SHIT SUCKS!" about it. If you like Haruhi and Raki Sutaa, by all means plug your ears. :)

Well, this is a Suggestion thread. It may turn someone off to it, and what if they may have liked it. At least let em watch and make a thread about how Bleach or something sucks. I figured use this for suggestions and one of the million other threads about "How do you like Anime" to rage on it.
 
Although I can see darkside's point and I'll admit I do not know alot of the more obscure anime you even just mentioned (but I know a couple like fruits basket and hunter x hunter for example). I only got into anime about 2 years ago BTW.

Also nice to see that at least half my list was not ALL stuff darkside keeps seeing everyone else posting.

Thing is, considering most people in this thread have said the exact same thing, I'm just ragging on the exact same choices repeatedly. The only reason I've hated on everything in this thread is because everyone's said the same things, and they're things I don't care for. At least I didn't say I outright hated Scrapped Princess or Chrono Crusade. Although Scrapped Princess IMO is better than Crusade. Don't really care for Crusade at all.

Also, don't get all uppity because I don't like your choices in cartoons and I'm vocal about it. Heaven forbid, dissenting opinions on an internet forum. Especially about anime. I have never heard of such a thing. We should all just be getting along and not discussing how we feel about particular shows because that just means you're being on a high horse. EVERYONE'S OPINION THAT IS DIFFERENT THAN MINE IS ON A HIGH HORSE.

BTW the Bleach anime sucks and is full of crap filler. Enjoy your Bount arc. BTW Rukia dies.

Didn't read your post before I posted the last one. In any case, when do we even have anime threads in order for me to rag on them? And how would we have a thread about every single anime that's been posted in here? Furthermore, any sort of discussion thread about certain series would inevitably lead to some people saying, "That sounds interesting; I think I might check it out" which qualifies as a suggestion. Isn't that the same as this thread? If someone in another thread about Specific Anime X expressed interest in wanting to watch it, and I came in and said, "X sucks, watch Z," wouldn't you say the same thing?
 
Trying to think out animes I've seen. Not to many. Of course there's Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon, Digimon and Dragonball Z, but you more than likely know everything you need to about those.

I remember I used to like one called Shinzo (I think that was it) that was very strange and involved a fish guy, a kid and a giant cat who combined into a super ninja who then turned evil or something and everyone was made of cards.

Outlaw Star was good too. Action, some comedy, boobs, a completely batshit insane final episode.

I don't know why I'm not on your guys' friends lists. Jerks. I'm not on Steam that much anyway because lame computer can only play lame games, not good games.

Also, just as an aside, saying HIGH HORSE a lot has made me think of HOL HORSE. Look at this suave motherfucker right here. He rides an elephant and doesn't give a shit. That chick behind him is only sixteen years old, but Hol Horse doesn't care about the age of consent, because he can make a gun come out of his hand and can control the trajectory of the bullets, because they're MIND BULLETS. And his gun is called The Emperor. Hol Horse is awesome.

Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star were the only shows that I ever stuck with all the way through as far as anime goes.
Really not a huge fan of the stuff.

Also, watched a show with some giant robot and a robot maid chick follow some guy who looked like a butler around and fought crime and stuff.
Forgot the name.

I named my old computer after Big O. I bought a $200 case solely because it was black and red. My mouse was black and red. Everything on that computer was black and red. Japanese Batman with a Giant Robot was such a super awesome show.

Edit: dang I just opened up my Steam after all this time and forgot all the games I got when I was working at Wegame. This is depressing. Look at all these games, goddamn. I've got Valve's entire library in here and I can't play them.

It's making fun of anime. It's like how everyone makes fun of the Japanese accent by adding "u" to the end of every word.

This is why I was even hesitant about posting a ****in thread about anime, cause I knew I was gonna get responses like Aha lambda's...sorry pal you made some good suggestions (most I've already seen) but you don't have to be a ****in elitist about it. Its the main reason why I never got too much into anime, cause I can't stand the community that sprouts up around it. Its like people think because its anime its somehow special, hell I can't discern between what is good or what isn't half the ****in time because of it. Its like people sit around and say "Well, the story sounds like it was written by a autistic 12 year old, and the action scenes I've seen them a thousand times in every other show/movie..so I'll give it a 2...but then again...it is anime so let me add 5 points to that.."
Yes, yes its all a matter of opinion at the end of the day, but why is it whenever I search through boards or amazon.com I usually find that any kind of anime rarely gets less than a 7/10 or a 3/5?? Its bullshit. When you go to find a regular movie, you may not agree with a review one might post about it but you get a general idea of what to expect. this is never the case with anime, there is way too much fappery that surrounds it. Out of all the suggestions made the one, funny enough, to stand out to me the most was monster...it sounds way more interesting than most of the shit posted in here. Darkside made the most suggestions that didn't amount to cowboy bebop, ...any others? I love any kind of mystery or comedy..
 
Don't take it the wrong way, no hard feelings...maybe you didn't mean it that way, It just really annoys the shit out of me...its just like when someone calls you a noob at a game..its annoying even if its true, right?

Anyways, some of you guys asked if I liked death note, and I'd say the same for it..it was only good for a few episodes. It had me hooked for awhile, but now (ep. 25) it just feels like it has alot of filler. I'll probably still finish it though, just cause I'm spiteful towards darkside like that.
