Another delay theory?

I really dont think the Beta Release was just an excuse to delay the game, but i have to wonder...

(btw I could be totally wrong with this)

HL2 will be coming out sometime soon and Im sure a good indicator of that would be that the Official website is going to open up...

But if Valve actually thought HL2 was going to come out on September 30th, wouldnt they actually have a website coming up before that release date or schedualed to. Of course, they might have and i may have just forgot.

Indeed, stop calling it beta. It has nothing to do with alpha/beta stages which are for TESTING the game. This was pure haxor to the Valve and leak to the net.

I think possible release dates are March 15th or June aka 'summer'.
The release for summer is most highly possible due holidays from certain schools, we have 2,5 months of free from school.

I think people would appreciate Valve more if they just talked to us. People just like to be told whats happening. I would have sooner they come face to face and said theres going to be a 4 month delay (I wish) etc. How someone can let it come to like 3 or so days before release day and say sorry its delayed is beyond me.

If Valve were to give another SPECIFIC release date, and then not make it, they would only be alienating more of their fans and customers. They're gonna hold off on ANY release date speculation until they're damn sure they can make it. Let em work on finishing the game...they'll tell us it's done when they know it's done!

I agree Bing, it'll be ready when it's ready. I just wish I could use that reasoning when I have to have a network profile sorted out by Monday morning:

VALVe said that they prefer the HL community websites at the moment...

I hate people calling it a Beta/Alpha too. It's a cracked game that was leaked from Valve. The hacking part is breaking in and the cracking part is stealing and making the game. God damn people learn FROM this and stop calling it somthing it's not.

I am almost possitive that steam and publishers are the reason for the delay right now. They are not going to throw away CS:cz for nothing. (even though it sucks) They still want to make money on it. It has to come out before HL2. Not only that, it's the first game to be sold on steam. They want to make steam work for selling games.

If steam works for CS:cz *WHOOOO HOOOOO* because that means we get HL2 that much quicker. Considering that people will try to cheat, hack, and steal CS:cz (who knows why) for the principle I guess, I doubt things will go smoothly.

They can't even update steam without some ass using a denial of service attack. Then the update itself doesn't work right. I hate CS:cz sooooo much :angry: it's in the way of a great game and I say SCRAP it.
