This seems like it could be fun if we all pitch in and figure this stuff out. I just got through the tutorial section and figured it would be good to have a whole community throwing their brains at this thing (as it suggests)

Try to find a group of people to work with, solving all of the riddles on your own can be hell. Large community forums are usually the best places to advertise when looking for a group of other people to help you solve riddles. Solving in a group is more fun than solving on your own! Please remember though, that you don't want to ruin the fun for everyone else: if you need help, give hints, or send a personal message to another user. Please, do not give out spoilers.

You will need to rely on external sources, such as search engines or online information databases, such as encyclopedias, translators and dictionaries. You will often need other programs, such as graphic editors, sound editors and text readers. Most of these programs should be available as freeware. Only programs that are deemed in common circulation are needed to solve these riddles.

Most of these riddles will require you to learn things which you previously did not know. Many of those that have made it this far have already learned how to view source code, how to alter address bars and how to see everything on a webpage. Though you may get frustrated, remember that none of these riddles are impossible and can always be solved. Try not to miss the obvious!

Good luck!

Let's get rolling.

I hit the first riddle and I already feel stupid...It's a shitload of gibberish.

Scratch that - got the first bit.

If you guys wanna join i'll link you to where I am.

I hit Riddle 3 just now. The first ones aren't too bad so I'll just give hints.

Hint for 1: Look at the text

Hint for 2: Source code comment will help tell you the language

EDIT: Just hit 4 :D These riddles are cool.

numbers dot html?

EDIT: Oh nm... guess I should have read the instructions prior to trying the riddles.

You mean 3? I did, maybe I didn't look closely enough. :D

There's also a hint for you in #3 in the source code.

edit: I meant 3 :P

edit2: I'm at the tail end of #4 and it's killing me...

I still dont get #2. The comment doesnt mean anything to me.

2? You just said you got past 2 in your other post. If you mean 3 then I'm stuck too.

Wasnt me. I just got past the first one. I still dont see how dot dash dot dot can be put in the url to proceed. Am I supposed to go to a search engine or something?

Think dot dash dot, then look at the text for the riddle.

Yeah on 4 please, i've established it's asking for an IP address or something, not sure where to go from here.

Btw on 3: 0 = . , 1 = - ,its pretty simple.

I was on the morse code thing and the morse translated into something ridiculous (weather comes into it so I know it's not wrong). I googled but there's nothing there.

You've got it dekstar...do it all, and the 2nd bit after weather is dot html. weather.html, heh.

Ok, 4 took me a long time. First, check the source code.

Then notice the title

Then think of ways to count the slashes that will get you ip addresses

Then just follow what the source code hint says quite literally

Basically, list my IP addresses, ok thats fine, the counting of slashes and things doesn't sound hugely appealing i must say.

Ok, well let me show you how without completely explaining it.

\//\\\ = 123

...well that's pretty much explaining that part of the riddle.

Yeah i got that, it was just alot of bother doing it. I've come away with 6 various addresses, it seems i missing something else, im going to stare at the numbers hard.

edit: got it, dear God this is horrible...

Pfft, I'm on 32 now, these riddles are easy.

disclaimer: may or may not be true.

It talks of a 'patriarchal city' and there is a 4 digit number in the last line. I advise you google these two things together and find out where it is.

Amish, 4 was ridiculously hard, i can't see myself or many people doing many of these D:

That was one of the hardest ones so far. The one with the Orange 5 (forget the number) is painfully obvious, you just need to include the dash.

I'm stuck on 12 now :(

Yeah i think i'm missing that obvious, i have the image with inverted colours to see the black writing, and 'flipped' horizontally & vertically, it seems to be gibberish, your dash needs a home.

edit: i have it now, there was no dash at all, i just flipped it again i i found it. There are 2 words, but you just stick themtogether, like so.

Oh, that dash i'm talking about is the one with the Orange 5 on the phone. The one you're on is a matter of managing to make out the letters in the lower left after flipping it vertically and horizontally. It's kind of a mess because there's other letters in the way along with upside down ones.

It's kind of a lame one in general so I'll make it easy.

The answer is - not here!

edit - ok, sorry :( no answers

Argh, I stuggled on 3 for so long, because I put a capital letter at the start, it didn't work, so I went off looking for other words, but I went back to 3 with a lower case letter and it worked D:

BTW another hint for 3 is type the coordinates into google maps.

Ug, #12 has my number for now. I need a break. Been doing these for the past 2 hours.

Dear god 12...I'm finding #7 like a brick wall, is it about a clockwork orange?
