I guess we will have to wait around a month before Rockstar says when it's coming out, they've done that with all the other GTAs. It would be great to have GTA 4 on Steam.
 
Im waiting, but then it would be a wee bit of a problem for me to get the game in this country i think.
 
I'm definitely getting it on PC. In the mean time, I may get a used 360 from a friend of mine.. but I don't know if I'll ever pay $60 for a game. I don't know when I ever have. I know games cost more to make these days, but they sell a hell of a lot more than they used to - in fact, in recent years, video games have overtaken movies and music. $60 for a game is just unreasonable in my little opinion.
 
Pfft, $60? When and if it comes out on PC, it'll be $100 RRP here. If I'm lucky, it might be ~$90 at JB or Big W.
 
damn. So don't you guys often order it from here then? Besides, don't they censor some stuff there?
 
Well, before, the AUD-USD exchange rate was very low so that's why prices are almost double, but now it's almost the same so I'm guessing there's lot of overseas orders right now (for PC anyway, console games require PAL so only from UK or NZ).

I'm not sure about every other game but IV is censored here because of our lack of R rating for games. Though I heard it's just a fixed camera for the hooker sex or something?

So, all in all, Australia sucks for gamers.
 
I dont see it coming to PC...might be a LOOOOONG wait in that case

Interesting read from IGN: Will GTA IV Come to the PC?
There are obviously things that the PC version should and probably will offer. Things like higher resolutions, better graphics, faster load times since everything can get installed on the drive, and the benefits of mouse and keyboard. To sound like a PC fanboy, I'd like to take to see GTA IV on my 8800GTX, which is a helluva lot more powerful than the graphics chips in the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

I checked the last page of my 360 manual for GTAIV...nothing but customer support for Rockstar and TakeTwo + warranty info. No dates over here, I truly hope other versions differ or that blog really is crazy...
 
6 months for the PC version of Mass Effect. Let's see if GTA IV PC is going to come out in Q4 2008. I think so.

As I said, betatest it to the fullest. I'll wait for the proper release.
 
Fifteen hours in and no bugs. Man, I sure am enjoying myself, too.
 
I sure hope so, to justify all the money you wasted on a 360 + accessories + games that could have been spent on better computer parts ;)

I'm really not noticing many bugs at all. Only the occasional lighting/texture one, and that's suuuuuper rare.

A couple annoyances, like every time I go over a certain toll booth, there's a chopper flying overhead towards Alqonguin. Every single time. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I don't want to stray out like this but I gotta correct you here ;)

I'm a Mac owner, for one, so no computer parts for me. However, all the games that are on PC that I like - Bioshock, Mass Effect and COD4 - are on 360, so that's a given why I own a 360. I prefer to play said games from the comfort of my couch with no hassle, upgrading or awkward things happening such as crashings or patches (I believe Bioshock for the PC had a few problems)

Not to mention that my favorite online game is Halo 3, one which isn't out for the PC, no? Also, a good 12 of my closest friends play Halo 3 and COD4 on the 360 so why would I want a PC when I've no one to play with?

GTA4 isn't out for the PC for another 6 to 8 months, or maybe not at all... why would I want to wait when I can play it now? Why would I want to wait when I can play it in a very high graphical performance with no need to upgrade or any other tedious stuff that I can't be bothered to do? Why wait to play it with no one when I can - and actually am - playing it with a good lot of my best friends?

I can't for the life of me think of any exclusives on the PC that appeal to me, either. Like it or lump it, Halo 3 is the deciding factor for which platform I play on - I love it's online play that much - but even if it wasn't out for either, I'd play the PC titles available to the 360 actually on my 360 for reasons stated above.

So... no, it's not money ''wasted'', because my 360 cost me 200 quid or so and so far I've enjoy immensely a good 10 titles whereas on the PC... shit, I'd play Battlefield 2: Project Reality and that'd be it. Great game aye but I prefer to get a little more out of my money.

I know our opinions on the platforms differ but please try to refrain from judging wrongly of me when you don't appear to know my own prefrences of the platforms. ;)

(I don't mean to be an ass, of course. Just saying.)

They are watching you Raz, they know the what you've been upto. Their just waiting for the right moment to swoop in and send you upstate ;)
 
I bought a 360 for GTA4 but I also got it to enjoy other games like PGR4 and Forza. :p
