Anything like the "Delta Force" series?

Anyone working on a mod along these lines? I was a huge fan of 1 and 2, and it was one game my wife would play! Something with wide open, seemingly endless rugged terrain, lots of distance sniping, and a pretty realistic feel.

If there is, I would seriously consider contributing work towards such a mod.

On the other hand, I'm not a big follower of all the latest gaming trends, but what recent games have come out that follow in it's footsteps? I know the series continued, is it worth following up on?

delta force : black hawk down was very good imho, but im unaware of any hl2 mods along those lines.

Ghost recon was pretty cool, never played BHD myself, my friend said it was a lot worse than DF1 and 2.

go play joint operations is pretty the same [(i was big fan of DF2 too even been in a clan H2H, my name is taken from DF2 clan i was in and i use it in all games ].joint operation needs a good CPU 1GB ddr CPUmore than 2,0 Ghz and good graphic card radeon 9800 or 9600XT 256 ram to run on highest details and smooth.My config is PIV 1,8GHz , 512 DDR, Radeon 9600XT256RAM,and it nice to play although i wanna play this game with 1gb ddr so it will be much smoother.THere's a feeling of DF2 really, it's even more fun.(there are ghilie suits for sniper too

well perhaps he was a hardcore df fan, but i thought the gameplay was an improvement. Joint Operations is great too, but you need an insane amount of players together to have fun because the maps are huge
