I'd say 99% chance negatory.

looks bad, gameplay sounds boring, and plot is non-existent

Hurray for not even reading up on any info on the game whatsoever!

Yes, thank you for forming my thoughts into words!

Of course i am, this is gonna be one of the best games coming out this year :)

I'm pre-ordering when I can be arsed to get out of this chair and get down to the bank :)

Of course I'll buy the ultimate game until HL2 arrives.

Preordered :)

btw Gameplay promise to deliver on release day if you order now.

Are you kidding me? HELL YES. I wonder if valve can just like release TF2 2 months after HL2 is out, that would be lovely. I would love to spend my senior year in highschool doing great in school, getting pussy from a select few girls, and playing TF2/CS:S online all the time. That's life.

alcohol and pot too, am i kidding myself? how could i leave those out.

Depends what the minimum specs are. And if I can scounge up enough money for it. It looks like it'll be more expensive than other games :(

Did you get the free shipping from them as well? I mentioned it in a few threads but I'm not sure how widespread it was.

I don't really see the hype of doom 3. Yes the graphics look good. Well here's a fun fact: As long as graphics aren't making you pry your eyeballs out, the real thing that matters is GAMEPLAY.

PS I never really like doom anyway.

i will be to scared to play it..so i borrow it from a friend instead... :D

When did you first play Doom. I just cannot see how someone can not like Doom and yet be a fan of FPS. Even today Doom has some of the best GAMEPLAY in the genre.

I probably won't buy it. I don't find horror games too entertaining. It'll be modded up the wazoo, so I'll probably get it later for that. Eventually I'll have to play it, just to stay current.

Yup, all of the tools used to make Doom3 will be included with the game.

Oops thought Carmack said all of the tools in an interview from awhile back :/

misinformation seems to be the cause of people voting "no", with only a select few who genuinely don't want it.

me - hell yes, i'm getting it.

i just got my pc gamer with the doom review, and they say its quite good. the end of the article is pretty cool: "The bar is raised. Lets see someone else climb over it." i think we all know what game that will eventually be.

Yeah, I am getting really sick of the whole "Doom3 is just pretty graphics, no gameplay/plot/whatever". There IS a plot, sure it's not gonna be an award winning one, but neither was Half-Life's, or most other FPS for that matter.

Isnt HL2 sort of like a scii-fi horror games?

There should be more options. For me it's yes, but only eventually. I'm going to buy HL2 first, because I'm a poor, poor sap who doesn't buy very many games.

Also, I'd like to be more informed. When Farcry first came out, everyone was calling it the best game ever, equal or greater than Half-Life and damn near perfect.
After the hype died down though, people started posting complaints about it. The main character's an ass and the plot's not great. The AI sometimes has troubles and the difficulty is unrealistic.
In the end, it went from my 'must-buy' list to my 'maybe-if-it's-in-the-bargain-bin' list.

Now I like wait and see other's opinions before I buy.

I can understand the concern somewhat, but this is id though. Not some upstart developer with no proven track record.

Love him or hate him, John Carmack is arguably the best game programmer in the world, and id are some of the best developers. The engine will be top-notch, they won't forget to put things like an easy quicksave option in, the multiplayer will perform perfectly, and of course the game will be optimized to near-perfection. It's pretty much a given with these guys.

Damn straight. I totally agree with even you've said.
But i can't help but say there's way too much Valve bashing since the delay last year. Its ridiculous

Was the Valve bashing directed towards me? I didn't mean them when I mentioned the upstart developer, I was referring to Crytek.

bleh it's late and I'm not thinking clearly.
