I always get this feeling while browsing HL2.net that everyone is just waiting for someone to reply to something just so they can reply back.. Is this true?
 
I browse other windows and refresh from time to time , thats pretty much my time on the deep dark intarwebs in a nutshell. Well that , steam and games.

I still browse in another tab for time-to-time, but I hang out on my PC locally mostly because of my crummy dial-up. Unless there's something specific I want to find, or read, or criticize.

I have an ass load of ROMs and music on my PC when I don't have work to do, so I stay busy.
 
I rarely reply to threads here, usually just lurking. Still not sure how I have as high a post count as I do.
 
I am a lurker sometimes, but mostly just check back on occasion while browsing. Just as a side note, HL2.net has been pretty slow lately tbh, this summer on HL2.net wasn't very interesting.
 
I lurk all the time. I hate posting because I honestly never have anything to say nor does it get noticed.

I usually peruse the the posts and post some replies. I usually make around 7.61 posts per day.

Seems like the sane thing to do. Don't really post here that often. Comes and goes... sometimes I feel like posting more and sometimes I don't. My post count comes out to less than 0.8 posts per day.

Usually switch between refreshing here and checking Google Reader for rss feeds. If I get too bored, I'll catch up on news. It builds up pretty fast and can take a while to go through. And when I get really sick of staring at my computer with nothing happening, I'll go off and read a book.

And my ears always perk up when somebody replies to one of my posts. I'm that pathetic.
 
I don't hit refresh, I click new posts again. Refreshing makes it act all weird.

If there's a minute or two without any posts, I'll open up another window and browse.

I actually don't really care who replies to my posts or what they say. As long as there's something else for me to poop on.
 
I've never clicked the new posts button to find new posts. In fact, I've only ever clicked it once in the history of my time on hl2.net and that was to take a screenshot.
 
I've been lurking a lot, lately. Once in a while I'll post something stupid, but for most threads I just have nothing to add.

I'm unemployed right now, so I have way too much free time.

I'm usually bored because there isn't enough activity here, yet I am too addicted to go offline for any great length of time.

Ever since summer it's been basically 5 straight days a week on the computer (literally) and the other 2 days I go to work for 4 hours each day, then back to computer... Hopefully when school starts I won't be on here as much...

I seem to visit my usercp and new posts at an alarming frequency.

Especially if I've recently made a new thread.
 
If its my thread i read replys, if its someone else's probably read the 1st 3 then stop and post then read the 3 after mine and stop.
 
I reply to as many things as I feel interested in, then go somewhere else for a while.

I'd still classify myself as a lurker though.

Aye me too, it's the cool way to travel. Damn the newbie forum users, using vbulletin all this time and never using it's number 1 feature!?

I browse to HL2.net then tape down F5.

I hate waiting on other peoples' posts to reply. Seriously this board moves too slow. TOO SLOW. Post faster, must post faster, post post post post post post post post post post post post post post post post post post post post post
