I've never clicked the new posts button to find new posts. In fact, I've only ever clicked it once in the history of my time on hl2.net and that was to take a screenshot.

Generally I check the games, news and lounge for threads initially, but after that I pretty much always use New Posts button. It saves have tonnes of tabs open I could put to better use like goat porn, bomb making and the like.

I never use the new reply button, as my new reply thing is broken.. I'll read a post and it'll still say it's unread, I'll look at a thread that's like at the bottom of the page and it'll say there's an unread post, it's all messed up. I have to frequently 'mark the whole forum as read'.

Plus it's easier to just open like 5 tabs and look inside them all for new posts.
