:) I work for a webdesign company. One of the sites owned by my boss is advertising for HL2. In exchange we get a couple copies of HL2 a couple days early. cool eh? Just wondering if there is anyone else out there in a situation like this as well?

And trolls flame if you like, but everythings been talked bout. and this is general HL2 stuff so...
 
i own my own web design company...

i will get HL2 two days after you but that doesnt bother me too much...

so um... har...

Congrats! I'd be chuffed if I were in your shoes, too - Although I'd rather just buy it on the 4th or something and play it through the weekend. I'm in no hurry to 'see it first,' but hey - good show mate.
 
oh don't get me wrong, im not showing off the fact i was just wondering how many other people get breaks like this cause its the first time i got a game for promotional purposes.
 
lol duh....sorry....been a very long day.

/edit its cause I saw he was a webdesigner as well so i figured he replied cause he was advertsing for them as well and was getting a promotional copy too just two days later which confused me...like i said...long day

2 days early? does that mean it goes gold 2 days earlier for you also? Somehow I doubt Valve is going to send off copies to many people til after it's released on Steam so they can milk it first. But hey, if I am wrong, then lucky you... just don't spoil it for others if you start playing the game early by posting comments about the game here.
 
I have one of those weird jobs where I get to play games months before they are released stateside, if ever. The downside is all the games I get to see really, really suck and are usually Russian budgetware and the like.
While I won't get HL2 early, I've become fluent in Engrish.

I did mean it as tongue in cheek...lol man you guys pick through everything like vultures.

Anyway... is there any reason you are getting it early? They're just being nice to ya since you have their ads on your site?
 
well. I'm just a peon but since i was the first employee at this webdesign company and im friends with the boss he figured he would give me one. and yea thats the gist of it, they say we will get it early (and btw guys 2 days was an estimate they just said more then a day or two early. but yea we're getting them because we are advertising for HL2 apparently. :)

hehe your the first to try that i'll give you that much credit. unfortunatly my boss has enough people at the moment. but i did take a look at your site and i do have it book marked and have let the boss know to check it out.

On a similar note your images are very clean and well done. Need alot more images though...but just my opinion :)

Oh btw, i'm actually gabe so i've been playing HL2 for many months, and i have to tell you that it's shit, but i think it will sell based on the reputation/hype alone, we finished the game 3 years ago but i couldn't be arsed to release it, i might delay it aswell because that should build up more hype.
 
bah I work for a small space/time travel consortium and we got it months ago. i laugh at all you poor fools who have to actually wait untill its finnished untill you play it.
