Got some PC specs for ya.

Minimum Specification:

* CPU: 2 Ghz
* RAM: 512 MB
* Nvidia Geforce FX with 128 MB RAM & pixel shader 2.0, ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 MB of RAM
& pixel shader 2.0
* Software: Windows XP or Windows 2000 and DirectX 9

Recommended Specification:
* CPU: 3 Ghz
* RAM: 1 GB
* Video Card: Nvidia 6800 and above or Ati x800 and above with at least 256 MB RAM
* Free HD Space: 3 GB (or more as needed for downloadable addons)
* Software: Windows XP and DirectX 9
 
Are we going to have much of an Armed Assault community here on these forums?

I'm loving Operation Flashpoint, and will be picking up Armed Assault even if I have to sell my body to do so.

This game is going to be so awesome.

Why not use the 2 site's?, alot of HL2.net peeps have already joined the AAZ. although HL2.net has a vast amount of info on things you cant expect it to be a definitive source for Arma as its got so much other stuff going on IMO.
I know our forums are a bit quiet ATM but as soon as a demo or the game comes out it will be rammed with Armed Assault goodness.

I want Game2 :( Totally new physics, AI, graphics engine etc ftw! Hopefully this will tide me over a bit though. : )
 
Your going to have a long wait Gargantou, and TBH armed assault has made a lot of improvement's over the last year where its getting to a point that its not far off game 2 graphically.
 
Perhaps so but the dynamic campaign that Game2 is supposed to contain intrigues me, I'm a addict off dynamic campaigns, but only flight sims have'em so far.:)
If someone manages to mod/script ArmA to get a real dynamic campaign in it I'd be all set, nothing like playing a dynamic set of mission where everything you do have atleast a slight effect on the overall war.:D

anyone know the eta on release ..I know there was a recent delay but I cant find the new release date
 
There are no precise dates as yet, all we have ATM is Q4 2006, although they have a publisher for Germany and there has been word for a November release.

I'll keep you posted ;)
 
Awesome! I'm soo waiting for this game. OFP with better graphics and modern warfare? Can't ****ing get any better!

I look on their forums, and they have confirmed release dates for alot of european countries... but not united states yet or canada... they still don't have a north american publisher?
 
Hi Raziaar, no unfortunately they have yet to secure a publisher for those area's, although they will be releasing the game over the Internet aswell as a retail copy, so you could probably download a copy when its available if they still ain't found 1.

I'll keep you posted.

Lovely stuff. Looks 1000000x better than OFP's dodgy night time effects. Plus there's colour! :D
 
Hehe, that reminds me alot of OFPElite, where I'd set up two huge opposing forces and have'em meet with me as a civilian in the middle, during night, boy the dynamic lights are awsome to watch :)
 
Those night combat effects look SEXY.

And it's easy to understand why I feel that way! Hell, playing operation flashpoint, I thought the night combat lighting in that was awesome too.. just for the sheer effect of it, since i've never played anything else similiar to that.
 
From what I've seen of this game, I take it that it's pretty much a revamped Operation Flashpoint?
