Valve's CEO has thanked gamers for the help and tips received and admitted that Valve owes a great deal to the gaming community.

How about releasing the game?!

Wow, guess the hackers will think again before hacking into a game developers servers, eh?

And two weeks from now, we'll still be getting threads.

Why isn't this on the front page yet?

You're getting as slow as Planet Half-Life.

no one visits their site anymore, so they dont update very much, just enought to get by. And if the hackers where under 18 they cant release names of those involved without permission. Even though I dont think they are.

Don't worry, it'll be on the front page soon. I hope they link to the VERC version though, much easier to read!

i'm with the theory that says there leader is none but carmack himself

common misconception: everyone who goes to jail gets butt-rammed.

there are different kinds of prison for different kinds of people, people!

Planet Half Life use to be the best Half Life site, but now that Fragmaster is gone and they have dickheads for moderators, not much people visits it now; I really prefer this site.

i hope this makes the idiots who think of hacking into gaming companies twice about the consequences.

i hope they get stiff punishments :frown: :hmph:

Every decent gamer that buys HL2 should be allowed to kik their asses.

i.e. - Walmart - Buy HL2 and you give a cap to one of the code thieves!!

As some game analyst said:

"Great going, assholes!! You've just made game developers worry less about making a great game and more about security! "

Unfortunately the FBI usually gives them 2 choices - work for us or go to jail.

Most of the hackers choose wisely.....

No. You would be able to do that if you got the special edition. But I wouldn't kick their asses, I'd head crab them.

How long do you guys think he will be sent to jail for if any, couple of days ? months? years?

^^^Hopefully for years and while they're there..... get their anal cherries POPPED.
