Good luck...can't imagine a life without beef. If the cows weren't so stupid we wouldn't eat them, so its their own fault see? :p

Our ancestors were also hunter gatherers, meaning that they ate nuts and berries and plants in addition to meat. In fact, food sources other than meat probably made up the bulk of their diets.

The only reason you say that is that your religion requires/encourages vegetarianism.

If you tried meat you may just like it.

I was just trying to make a point. And the period of mammoth hunting is a small one anyways. They were driven to extinction quite rapidly in history. Mostly it was deer like animals that could be felled with a spear.

I wish I lived back then. I want to know what it felt like to survive the attack of, and kill a short faced bear. I bet the meat was delicious.

I want to be, but I'm too weak, or too fond of meat containing dishes, or I don't know enough vegetarian meals to fill uo the whole week. But very good, I hope this is not some teen crazed statement you're making.
 
You know its unfotunate that those poor animals are raised only to die horrible deaths in a factory. But here's something interesting that i learned.

Yeah but our brain tissue started growing exponentially after discovering cooked meat. (I remember seeing it in a NGC documentary, dunno the name)

Why not eat meat? Is it because you don't want to kill the animals?...plants are living things too. You're STILL killing something to feed yourself, it's how it's always has been, always will be. So quit lying to yourself and just eat meat.

here's something to add even more to your conscience. According to some scientists, even inanimate objects may have some level of consciousness. So that carrot that you are gonna dice up for your salad knows terror as it is diced to pieces. And that tofu screams a million silent screams as it is boiled in a soup.
 
plants are a much more responsorial organism, they don't 'think', they simply respond to their surroundings without choice. Like turgor pressure preventing too much water from rushing in or auxin breakdown to lean toward sunlight. Animals have choice and are therefore in a way 'more alive'. Basically choosing the lessor of two evils in a way.

Well if you eat beef, pork and chicken you're not a vegetarian, are you? You jut don't eat fish! I kind of want go vegetarian but I know I could never live without pepperoni pizza and braising steak!:) I don't eat lamb, though. I stick to just pork, beef, chicken, turkey and fish.
 
I feel like I should stop eating pigs...I mean, they're smart enough to play Pong. But bacon is too tasty and I have not the strength of will.
