Everyone should have lied and told him he needed to upgrade - Windows 98 is a poor OS. Windows XP is the fastest (debatable), most reliable, best looking, easy version of Windows ever. Some people have had problems with it, namely people who have older hardware that can be incompatible with XP. If your computer is pretty decent hardware wise, then upgrade to a better OS asap. Win2k or WinXP.
how long do you usually go without a reboot and how much crap do you have running?Originally posted by Direwolf
Hm...I'm very happy with XP. Not any real problems so far and only a handfull of Blue Screens.
again tho, stability means nothing unless you're a heavy multitaskerOriginally posted by Tork
I agree Windows XP owns $$. Iam on a overclocked Athlon XP 2400 and I havnt rebooted for days and Ive gone on the net non stop for weeks, no blue screens either

it's so much easier to do a quick reboot when you don't have much running because when you have all this crap going, it's very annoying to start everything back up
