Well he seems like a headstrong kind of guy, which is cool. However, he also appears to be quite stupid (a magical blue tongued lizard?) and a racist f-ck. I hope he dies.

Kudos to him for actually valuing something more than power. Of course, the reason for him thinking like this is his upbringing; if he was brought up to respect and depend on the land, in a non-comercial society where money matters little, then of course he'll be like this. I know he goes on about his religion and such, and doesn't seem to recognise the good he could do with the money. I know that you shouldn't make a desicion like this for the sake of upholding your traditions. But AFAIK, aboriginal Dreemtime is relatively peaceful religion (please correct me if I'm wrong here), and something worth upholding. Especially if the alternative is digging a dirty great hole in the ground and taking all the uranium - and apparently this does release radon-222 gas, which is radioactive.

I just think that if more people would approach life the same way he does, the world could be a slightly better place.
