APV3 is 10 bucks for the halloween steam special. I had been meaning to get it cheap, is it worth even that?

Is there any multiplayer community whatsoever? Are they keeping that side of it up to date?

If anything it might be worth it for the gore porn animations in SP... oh snap Dead Space and Worms are $10 - I'd pick those up first.

AVP3 as in Aliens vs. Predator? I think it's worth $10. It'll be a while before I replay the single player storyline campaigns again, but when I just need a good shooting gallery for half an hour, there are little maps where you're in a sandbox and progressively more and more aliens come out that's pretty fun.

I picked it up. I really wanted some MP but whatever. I can't pass up cheap predator though. I was going to grab overlord too. I might still...

The PC version has plenty playing it and is not plagued by the game searching that the console versions are since they patched in dedicated servers.

I like overlord 2 so far. that game has tons of personality.

on the other hand, AVP was boring as shit.

wow there are a ton of games out there right now on STEam.....100 of them!!!

Amnesia is on there for $13, seriously thinking bout that game

I was thnknig overlord because... it's less than $2. But of course Dogfighter was $2 the other day and it was just... terrible... plain terrible. I spent at least an hour trying to get a reasonable control scheme set up. Tried my keyboard and mouse, joystick, and gamepad. All were terrible... then I tried to go online and that sucked even more. I never thought I could actually feel bad about spending $2.

I don't think Overlord will be like that though. The demo I played a long time ago wasn't too bad even on Xbox.

I personally wouldn't go for it, It's fun for a couple of hours but that's about it.

Overlord games are definitely worth getting them on offer. They're fun as.

Edit: Dead Space worth it?

Dead Space is definitely worth it for less than $10. Some people complain about the mouse controls on PC, but I don't have any experience with that - plays great on a controller, anyway.

Plus it's a pretty long game, (Dead Space) which is always nice.

Bought. I'll play it after GTAIV and Bioshock 2 and GRID and STALKER and Painkiller and Tomb Raider and...

85% off for Frontlines seems pretty good (THQ sale, not Halloween sale). Not sure whether the game's worth it, though.

Frontlines is alright. The single player suffers from pretty blah AI but a moderately interesting story (not that I finished the game). The multiplayer is designed to be a souped up Battlefield 2 but it just kind of feels kind of cluttered to me. Where BF2 had those sprawling maps, this game feels like it shrinks them down too much. It's not terrible though if anyone still plays it.

I got it for nothing and still hated it dont bother

was thiking on dead space but it just dont look scary for me

Medal of Honor: Frontline? Did it get a Steam release because I thought it was console only. I looked on wiki and it doesn't mention a PC version.

I just spent 7 dollars on a shitty playstation remake of a shitty gameboy castlevania game, so i figure 10 on a recent game is sensible

Zombie Driver is half the price and twice as fun

Go for it

Played that for about 3 levels and had seen everything the game had to offer, that was a big disappointment for me :(.

Amazon price has been consistently cheaper than Steam's sale price. It's ok, and a good starting off point for a franchise, but if I said it was often Doom 3 played over someone's (rather funky) shoulder, I wouldn't be entirely misrepresenting it. And as I'm sure you love boss battles with glowing weakspots and escort missions, the climax of the game will be as absolutely thrilling for you as it was for me.

As far as mouse versus controller goes, a particular asteroid shooting minigame from about halfway through is actually a lot easier with mouse aim, but there's something daft about V-Sync and high-framerates effecting mouse control in most of the rest of the experience.

Oh, AvP 3? Yawn. Actually, I got the original in a Steam sale (That's right, apparently I waited for a game to be marked down from £2.99) and never played it. One of these days...

I do have this actually, haven't played it though.

The very first game I ever played on PC. Game has a special place in the cold rock where my heart should be.

Damn, was about to buy Overlord, but kept getting transaction errors. Have to go to bed now, hopefully it'll be still on tomorrow morning :|

I've been playing through AVP and it's been pretty fun. MP is a huge disappointment due to the lack of people on it, but SP isn't bad really.
