Backwards headbang?

Does anyone do this? I listen to a lot of hardstyle and schranz and other type of heavy bass techno music. But instead of doing normal head bangs, i start from the front and swing my head backwards to the beat. It feels much more awesome, but i bet it looks ridiculous.

Am i alone in this?

I'm trying to picture it in my head, like someone bends thier neck down, builds up a bit of force and thrusts it backwards as hard as they can, then repeating it.

Whelp, in some fast songs that have an odd number of beats in a measure (7/4, 5/4, etc) I will do headbanging which has to alternate between normal and inverted, which takes 2 measures, because I won't headbang on each beat but rather every 2 beats, one beat on the down and one on the up. If the song is slow enough then I can just bang on every beat, 7 bangs per measure. Sort of hard to explain in text I guess.

14 beats making 2 measures of 7/4. As you can see if I just did one measure and repeated, I'd have 2 downs in a row which is odd, BUT sometimes I will headbang like that, with a sort of skip to it at the end.

Otherwise for normal time signatured songs I usually don't do that, though sometimes a specific song will feel more correct doing that. Like if I'm banging twice as slow I will go down on the snare, which is usually on the second beat, making the first beat an up.

Sorry Tyguy, i dont want to ridicule myself for the entire internet. This is not just by itself, its combined with a shitloads of movements of my head/neck/torso/arms. When i rock out to hardstyle/hardcore techno i get into the music so much i cant control myself. I only do this when im alone ofcorse, when im around people i just do the shuffle/bit of jumpstyle.

I should have clarified that I don't headbang in the traditional sense. I don't really rotate my head much, it's more just moving it forward/down and back/up.
