Bad Company 2 Multiplayer Beta

R makes it go up, F makes it go down.

I dunno why they used different controls for the UAV to the chopper.

My biggest annoyance? As an engineer, when you're trying to repair a tank, and they won't fucking stop moving.
 
The latest update has definitely provided a decent improvement in performance for me. I still get the odd framerate dip below 20, but very rare, as opposed to before. Average framerates have improved by a significant amount. My old dual core is obviously still not quite cut out for it though, shown by the still low minimum framerate, albeit less frequent.

Still, large improvement !

Rofl that video actually made me laugh out loud several times. The tracer dart thing made me laugh really hard cuz it has happened to me personally but accidentally. Its so ****ing funny everytime someone gets shot with it, i just start laughing hard, idk why but it hits some comedic spot in my brain and i cant stop laughing.

I noticed an improvement as well. Still the framerates are not decent for me, but I played a few hours ago and despite sucking partly due to fps dips in combat I had a quite good time.

Also I felt how the average player's skill increased, mainly the recon class. Before I found it quite easy to play as recon, but now before I manage to snipe someone, I'm usually sniped myself.
 
Yeah that guy doesn't really act like that. Just see his other videos.
 
Chopper gunner on this game is much more satisfying than in BF2.

Could that be 2 hours earlier? That time is not very EU friendly.
 
Idunno, anyone else got suggestions? That would make it 5pm here and I'd still be at work. I could join up later though, obviously. Maybe we can just start at 5 and have everyone hang around in chat for a couple hours so people can come and go more easily.

Also, we just realized that thursday is the last day of the beta. So you all better be there!

Ask for an invite for the official [HL2.net] Battlefield: Bad Company 2 group. Also if possible add your clan tag as [HL2.net] (way easier than last time to add a clan tag). Also somebody mentioned it was for .netter's that play BF2 back in the day only. That is completely wrong. This site was made for Valve games and we all play them very much. BF2 though holds something special in our hearts and really got us together as a community. Bad Company 2 I firmly believe will start this again. We have a lot of new members this time around and unfortunately lost some as well (RIP bvasgm).
 
I hope we don't make these game times too early. I'm at work until 7:00 PM (-6)
 
It sucks because Brick, for instance, has a 7 hour time difference for me. So if I schedule something at 8pm central, its like 3am for him.

Also, we have a game going right now. Ill be in in about 15 mins.
 
Why not make it a "If you're online, ****ing get on BC2 and play with your brothers." event? :D

One more week to go. I just hope that Steam will let us preload it.
