Bandwidth usage keeps growing

Well maybe it's been discussed, but I just got up (it's 7:50am) and I see on Steam's status page that the bandwidth usage has already reached 7,500 Mbps and they had to turn on more servers for the "big bang".

Please sevrers don't crash!

I just got all my upgrades to my computer today in the mail. I wanted to reformat my hard drive and start over fresh for optimal performance. Yeah baby! 98.6%! 40 minutes until launch!

well first because im not gona be playing very much at 3am, maybe just 5-10 min worth if i have it by then

second because im strapped for cash, and finally gave in a few hours ago and charged it.

also, looks as a call has been placed, several servers and more bandwidth was added within the last hour.

I'm sure Valve is loving it. More bandwidth getting chewed up before the game is released = more $$$$$.

hey well he and the valve team deserve it.

heard that at one point they were putting a million a month into the project, and to top it off this might just become the best videogame of all time (money and play-wise).

so hats off, and let them reep their rewards to their swaet and computer generated blood and gore!

AM sure the money they made from Steam sales more than makes up for it at Valves end, i know they got all of my money :cheers:
