Barnacles and Headcrabs

well,I love watching headcrabs jump into the tongue of a barnacle,but I realized something,the body doesn't fall to the ground,so,where does it go?
the barnacle didn't eat the bird it killed in the beginning
 
Duh. Headcrabs are SO tasty, it doesn't want to lose any of the headcrab.
 
Barnacles only really eat headcrabs. It's the only thing they're biolically suited to eat. They just pick everything else up and taste it.

That would be disturbing, yet awesome. Instead of attempting to maul you and cave your head in with its claws, it would spout incoherent Vombie wisdom at you in broken sentence fragments until your brain can no longer handle attempting to piece it all together, thus killing you.

How could a Gonarch, that which produces Headcrabs, be coupled with a headcrab when it doesn't even have a head??
 
Gonarch IS a headcrab. So that means err... umm, I got confused. A headcrab headcrab could be awesome! Apparently Gonarch would smash a headcrab with a jump.
 
Well, essentially the Headcrabs, being a parasitic life form, would couple with a host. We all know this, blah blah, yes but however, I like to think of it this way: Headcrab latches host (anything sentient, and large enough to sustain) Zombie finds prey and neutralizes them so other headcrabs can manifest them. After a critical mass, one morphs into a Gonarch. The Gonarch creates headcrabs, and starts the process all over again. Now, the Barnacles, including Headcrabs, native to Xen, could be "animals" to the Vortigaunts, being the dominant species of Xen. We all know that the zombies eat Humans, Headcrabs, Combine, (antlions, however I think they just explode like in HL1 barnacle) Seeing this, I would assume the Barnacle, obviously being a carnivore would consume anything edible to its dietary system. But, but the biggest question of all, HOW in the world does a barnacle ever appear anywhere within the world.....WHAT???

Spores, larval form that climbs and latches onto a flat surface. Anything.
 
Well, I'm going to have to change my theory based on the fact that, I don't know for a fact that Xen is the home world of the Vortigaunts, however, I strongly believe that the Headcrabs and Barnacles are still native.
