can't wait!

These sound super. $350, however, is RIDICULOUS for headphones. I bought myself a good pair of headphones for ?50 and they're cute, too.

Good luck not getting mugged.

You got excited for headphones?

Also $350?

Sometimes I wonder if I'm human the way I refuse to drop triple figures for an accessory

$350 is way too much money for a pair of headphones. Are you gonna wear them outside of the house? Well, better get a pair of $50-70 headphones then because they ARE going to break.

They might be awesome, but don't waste your money. You can get a pair of awesome headphones for much less than that.

ROFL.

Wait, let me look again.

ROFL.

Please to be staying away from overpriced overhyped bullshit like this, intending to rip off people who don't know shit about shit. Lol at Monster Cable, no surprise on the ridiculous price there. Worse than Bose, jesus shit.

If you want good headphones go with professional ones. From brands that are trusted and have been around for a while. Sennheiser, AKG, Shure, to name the most popular.

I think the only people "har har"-ing are everyone else in this thread, no reason to pay over $50 for a pair of headphones

Got my Sennheiser PX100 for 40 euros (they're hard to find here D: ), but its awesome mobility makes up for it. I might go for some supra-aural headphones next

Who the **** in their right mind pays $350 for ****ing headphones?!
Besides that, they look bulky as all hell and would you really wear those out in public?... I'll stick with my discreet $30 v-moda earphones.

You sir are ignorant. Once you've gone with a decent headphone + amp combination you will not go back to normal headphones or speakers.

These http://headphones.com.au/psingle?productID=25 > You.

That said the microphone on my $180 gaming headset died (I use a cheap rage worthy headset for gaming and the pair above for music) and I need to get it replaced via warranty (2 years afaik).

This.

Got me a pair of Bose Headphones and when you start hearing shit you haven't heard in songs you've listened too like 50000 times already is when you stop using normal headphones.

Yeah, anyone who says paying $350 for headphones is stupid is very ignorant.

Why would you be willing to spend that amount of money on an MP3 player but not on the thing that actually creates the sound? But then again, I've seen countless of people listening to music on the external speakers of their mobile phone so a lot of people apparently don't care about quality.

ITT: Music nazi types

ITT: Silly little girls who should know when to keep their mouths shut.

OR ELSE I VILL ZEND YOU TO CONZENTRATION CAMPS, JA?!!!

I lol'd, and then invaded Poland.

Spending the same amount of money on the MP3 player(lets say $250) on a third-party set of headphones($350) is just insane.
Only people that are completely anal about their sound quality would go to such lengths.

Ahem, yeah and those $29 headphones of mine have that sound quality.

$150 or above is just too much...

LOL headphone ad at the bottom of the page.

So yeah those must be some miracle headphones. What are they exactly?

Ha, that is all.

Value for money; It doesn’t cost a lot to get a truly amazing sounding headphone setup, but it can cost a lot to get a truly amazing sounding speaker setup

Err. Do you have a home theatre system? How much did all the sound components cost? It's the same thing really. I spend an absolute shit load of my time with headphones on my head plugged into my amp and a variety of sources. Why should I skimp out and buy an inferior system that won't sound anywhere near as good as my current one? Try before you buy I suppose. The company I deal with offers a trial period on all it's products.

As long as they are easy to drive. High end headphones tend to require more juice than your standard set. Frankly the dre set seems like pure marketing heck it comes with Monster cables. For anyone interested here's my cheap gaming/vent rage solution http://headphones.com.au/psingle?productID=16

Got me a pair of Bose Headphones
Sorry to break it to you but despite all the consumer hype that Bose has, their headphones are SHIT compared to ones by the brands I listed in the same price range.

Bose gained a lot of popularity in the consumer world and thus everyone thinks they're some amazing brand and that's why they can jack up their prices... But in reality, quality headphones have been around for a while and for cheaper prices.

Here's the thing. These headphones aren't really for anything. Do you game with headphones? Then you'd want a pair of headphones with a better sense of sound direction and a mike. Do you DJ? You want a pair of reasonably bass heavy headphones that can take a bashing. Do you produce? You want speakers. Do you do anything outside? Then you don't want threehundredandfifty dollar headphones.
I'm sure they're good, and maybe they'll make your low bitrate music sound a bit better from your iPod, but they seem extravagant to me.

BUT THEY LOOK SLICK AND COOL AND HAVE FUTURISTIC NEVER BEFORE SEEN TECHNOLOGY (details have been omitted)

AND THEY'RE BACKED BY SOME MUSIC PRODUCER AND AN AUDIO CABLE COMPANY THAT SELLS OVERPRICED SHIT

Oh, the utter lulz that were had from reading this thread.

Enjoy the hole in your wallet, unozero.

Nah, I want some portable headphones I can stick in a carry-case or something so they don't get damaged - a carry-case I can fit in my pocket, or something. I have some cheap-ass clunky-ass headphones right now (Seriously, $25 headphones... they blow), but my friend has a set. He got 'em for $100, but I'm sure I saw it the other day for $70...

Viper and I are happy owners of the Etymotic Research ER-6i's, they come with a small zipper bag/case that you can fit everything (the headphones, other tip types, replacement filters, etc.) in and it easily fits in your pocket with room to spare.

Though of course you'll have to make sure you're okay with canal-phones, which do take some getting used to and aren't as easy/quick to put on/take off as normal headphones. You get great noise cancellation and highly detailed sound with them though.

Will run you about 90-100 bucks though.
