Best Boss Battles?

Vampire Bloodlines - The Werewolf and LaCroix's bodyguard
Those two were just fotching amazing.

DOOM (the original) - Cyberdemon & Spiderdemon
At the time, it was amazing. Piston driven legs ftw.

Thief - The Trickster
Something so cool about robbing a God

Wolfenstein - Boss on the last episode (the one with the rocket launcher) & the Hitler in a robot
He had a rocketlauncher, something you couldn't get. I killed him with a knife after using all my ammo

Half Life - Gargantua
Not really a boss, but certainly makes the list. Remember being chased by this papa?

Max Payne - Nearly any of the bosses. After what happened to Max, you felt like you owed a personal payment.

Alone in the Dark (the original) - Sense of Irony (I guess) when the first item you find, is what you use to kill him with.

Thats all I could think of right now.

Alone in the Dark and Wolfenstein 3D were pretty awesome, I will admit.

qft, the 16 colossi in shadow of the colossus were awesome, i liked in particular the 4th boss i think http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/490/490849/img_3150531.html, the one atop the large structure in the lake, the setting was just so awesome, loved the artistic design. The last two bosses were cool too.

*points to sig*

Oh yeah I forgot about him. That was an awesome fight. When you get up top and he starts swinging his sword at you. Holy crap, first time I barely dodged it and almost fell off the edge.

Oh yeah - the end boss for Psychonauts. Speedrunning that is amazingly fun.

This is completely off-topic, but I swear that your sig rings a bell. Is it from a book or movie or something?

Winter is coming fools! The Starks are shouting it through the entire series and then Jaime's sitting in Riverrun and it starts to snow and he's all like "Ah shit! We forgot to store for food! Stupid war! We're all going to STARVE! Ahhhhhh!!!!"

Actually, Jaime is about the only POV character at the end of A Feast for Crows who hasn't been entirely screwed over. He's my homeboy. Knight-who-looks-good-but-is-actually-pure-evil-but-then-after-a-life-changing-experience-realizes-he-has-dishonored-his-order-and-so-starts-acting-good for the win!!!

Ser Jaime Lannister the Kingslayer, Lord Captain of the Kingsguard > you

Now, back on topic. I still maintain Shadow had the best fights. Final boss, the living tower as I call him, will live forever in my memory.

Berserker, Corpser from GOW. The moments where you had to lure the shebitch Berserker from the building and she begins charging you were real "Oh f*ck" moments.

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 had some kickass bosses.
Love the very last boss fight where you have to deflect all those lasers at once. Looked fantastic and was awesome fun.

I loved fighting Riku in the first Kindgom Hearts as well. Once you free all the princesses and its only you and him. Awesome fight.

Shadow of the Collosus - The flying ones. Man are they some easy yet amazing boss battles.

Ganon from OoT and Wind Waker. Again, amazing boss battles.

I'm sure there is more but i can't think of them right now.

I really liked the Berserker fight in GoW.

The last battle of Condemned is my personal favorite though. You beat him up with a flaming 4x4, remove all his metal parts attached to his flesh, and then finally, you rip out his metal jaw with your bare hands and send him tumbling into the fire. That was so cool.

Shadow of the Collossus and pretty much all the bosses in MGS 1,2 and 3.

ya i forgot condemned. That last battle was pretty brutal...

Another game with fantastic 'boss' fights would be Freelancer! Such as when you are travelling between two asteroid fields and a whole Rienland fleet decloaks, and then the ending fights, with the Hypergates and Dyson sphere. Friggin' awesome.

Apart from the aforementioned GoW and Zelda battles, I liked the Jedi Knight series boss battles.

The seven dark jedi in JK, Desann in JO, and if you go dark side in JA, Kyle. All great fights.
