Hey,
My friends and I are having a comedy DVD night. I have a list of the following which hopefully can be rented on DVD. Please post any films that you think should fit a night...

 Airplane!
 Blazing Saddles
 Blues Brothers
 Family Guy: The Movie
 History of the World
 Life of Brian
 Naked Gun
 Not The Nine O’Clock News (Vol. 1 & 2)
 Robin Hood: Men In Tights
 Search for the Holy Grail
 Spaceballs
 Team America
 The Producers
 The Waterboy
 Young Frankenstein

Also tell me what you think of the above.cheers :)

Well the ones above are mostly good, wouldn't rent the Family Guy Movie though it plays out like a stretched out episode and becomes a bit tiring. Waterboy is good, any Adam Sandler is a good bet, Happy Gilmore and the Wedding Singer also recommended.

Do you like any of the Frat Pack films? (Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell...?) If you do i suggest you rent Dodgeball, Anchorman, Wedding Crashers or 40 Year Old Virgin, some hilarious films there if you get their humour, especially Anchorman.

Terrific choices, but don't forget:

Caddyshack
Better Off Dead
This Is Spinal Tap
Waiting For Guffman
Best In Show
A Mighty Wind
Yellowbeard
(good luck except on VHS)
Animal House
Death To Smoochy
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Van Wilder
Dr. Strangelove
A Christmas Story
(a little late)

EDIT: I forgot...
Clue
What ABout Bob?

Oscar
Pure Luck
See no evil, hear no evil
Shrek 2
Gesthouse paradiso

in no particular order

The Party - Peter Sellers
Bringing Up Baby - Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn
Raising Arizona
Dr. Strangelove
Monty Python's Holy Grail, Life of Brian
Animal House
Porky's
The Princess Bride
Spinal Tap
Adam's Rib
Life is Beautiful
Johnny Stecchino
El Dia del la Bestia
A Fish Called Wanda

Why even make the thread, you already have more films than you could ever possibly watch in one night... :/

Pretty much what everyones said, but no ones mentioned Clerks or Office Space. Shame on you.

Will be renting Blazing Saddles this week.

The Big Lebowski and Withnail & I get my vote.

I'm a sucker for Deuce Bigalow too.

Oh, Top Secret is superb - very funny stuff. If you like Airplane definately check this out.

Best for me have to be,

Airplane 1 & 2
Naked Gun series
Any Monty Python film
Team America, world police.
Shaun of the dead
Hot Shots, 1 & 2.

They all had me in stitches :D

People seriously call them the frat pack? Holy lame. Awesome movies though
40 Year Old Virgin and OldSchool are especially good

Also: THE BIG LEBOWSKI!! Best comedy ever

The Big Lebowski
Seasons of The Office (Brit version obviously)
Watch all 7 seasons of Top Gear and feel like REAL MEN!

that should fill a whole night

Okay, blazing saddles was terrible. I watched it last year to find out what all the hype was about, and it was mind numbingly boring. The only movie i have wanted to end quicker than this would be Syrianna.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

brilliant.

Dumb and Dumber
Don't be a menace to southcentral while drinkin your juice in the hood
Office Space
Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
Naked Gun series
Half-Baked

Thats what i can think of right now.

Barely even a comedy though. :D
At least most comedies don't make you want to hide in the closet sobbing.

Theres a film called Whoops Apocalypse, I've loved it ever since I saw it on TV when I was a kid. Unfortunatlly everybody I show it to or describe it to says its the biggest load of crap ever. I'm not sure if I like it cause its funny or because I loved it so much when I was a kid. Either way I reccomend it, even if you just skip forward to the SAS bit with Rick Mayall.

Top Secret
Monty Python's the Meaning of Life, The Holy Grail, Life of Brian... Hell all of them.
Office Space
Animal House
Spaceballs
American Pie
Analyze This / That
Caddyshack
Team America : World Police
Dumb and Dumber
Scary Movie
Porky's

The one that makes me sob is Fail-Safe.

Now that is a frightening film.

40 yr old virgin is a ****ing great film, especially for the fact that it was only released recently (Wedding Crashers and most comedies lately have sucked...AND DONT SEE GRANDMA'S BOY!)
