It's not completely half-life related, but since most people here have viewed the hl2 videos I figure someone might have run into the same issue I have.
When I play any of the bink hl2 videos, I notice that the sound gradually loses sync with the video as time goes on (it lags behind). It takes about a minute and a half before it becomes noticeable, so some movies aren't really affected. It's most obvious in the traptown video.
I have no problems playing regular mpeg or avi movies and have the latest drivers for both my sound and video card. I'm really not sure what it could be.
System specs are
P4 1.4ghz
256 RDRAM
Radeon 9600 pro (I still had sync problems with my former geforce3)
Philips acoustic edge sound card
Plenty of free HD space
--
Windows XP home
-Tried playing with and without anti-virus (NAV2002) software enabled
-Tried every blitting style with RAD video tools
-Tried downloading hl2-traptown.exe from different sources other than steam
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
