Bioshock reviewed!!

I use an X600 :| I can't get much more recent than F.E.A.R. Good thing Valve don't alter requirements much. :D
 
I think there's a Shader Model 3.0 minimum requirement for BioShock(Same as all other UE3 games afaik), so I don't think the X600 can even run BioShock, no matter the settings etc.
 
I'm not screwing around for any demo of Bioshock. All I need is what I've already seen. The game looks great, and the reviews tell me the same. I'm getting this the day it comes out.

I would love to except I am on dial-up. Unless I can get hard copy somehow I am shit out of luck on that. There use to be a service that fileplanet used where you could have them burn the disc with file and send to you but that ended quickly.

The US sucks absolute balls when it comes to broadband coverage. I can't even get ISDN.
 
so when does the demo come out? If the game is being released in like 3 weeks shouldn't we have heard something by now?
 
Question - is the Special Edition only available in the US? Just got the normal version on amazon.co.uk and play.com

UE3 games run on SM2 apart from a few 360-made games like Rainbox Six: Vegas.

Unreal Tournament 3 will run on SM2.

Also, why did they let some fud review the game so damn early?

The LE is in the UK as well. It is on Game's website.

Special Edition is avaible in Sweden atleast, I haf da 360 wun pre-ordured!
 
wikipedia says the demo will be on xbox august 30th...that's almost 10 days after the release? What about for the PC? You're supposed to release the demo before the game, so people can get worked up about it and see if their computer will run it. Not release the demo 10 days after the full game comes out.
 
Supposedly there's going to be some kind of surprise announcement tomorrow from irrational games...wonder what it could be.

PC ZONE uk has reviewed it, gave it a massive 96% (they gave HL2 97%)

Good:
Captivating, well told story.
Movie quality voice acting and script
Emergent combat allows for huge variation of tactics
The Soundtrack, the loctions, the visuals
The many, many plasmids and the brilliant final levels

Bad:
At one point it ends :)
 
I'm not really keeping up to date with Bioshock as it's all kinda meh, but I was reading through the system requirements and apparently an internet connection is required to be able to play it.

As when HL2 was released: Why is it necessary to have to go online to play a single player game? :|

Hits around 40/50 mark and then they keep going back to it until the end really about 20 mins from the end no more Bioshock. However it is a good pod cast so listen to the whole thing.
