Mutations would be more fun if you actually get to see your own characters image, which I doubt but one can dream.:)

yeah both, does anyone know how long is the gameplay ?

It likely depends on how long you devote to exploring and taking in the surroundings. I plan on taking my time on the first play through - have a look around, get a sense of what happened, where I am, what each place visited was for etc.

The PCGamer scan says it's a long game, and I don't usually see them put thats as a pro, so hopefully this really is something huge. Not just in lenght, but in depth aswell.

PM sent, Hybrid.

I'm seriously hoping the demo is released sometime this week. Neeeeeeed it.

I request that nobody PMs me the scans that I dont want. Please dont do it now.

Whew, I was concerned reading through the last few pages that there wouldnt be a Bioshock discussion. Glad to see its back on track.

I'm undecided on whether to buy it for PC or 360. Generally I have way better control with PCs, but I'll try both demos.

I actually don't want the scans, or to play the demo. Bioshock is out so soon we might as well wait and enjoy all the goodness first hand!

Real gamers ruin the experience for themselves by downloading leaked alpha version, and reading every little article there is on the game.

I guess that makes the rest of us nubs :)

If possible I avoid previews or pics/vids that give away too much. A few of the recent Bioshock previews gave away how the game starts. Not being able to help read the first few sentence I was pissed off finding out ...

*slight spoiler ahead*

... that it starts with a plane crash, and quickly looked away fro the rest of the spoilers. Ever since then every piece of media and footage has been avoided like the plague!

To those who don't want the scans, you may STFU. I'm only giving scans to those who've asked for them.

are we allowed to ask for scans? Is there some rule against it?

If not, then I'm bored at work and could use some reading material...

You son of a bitch you ruined it for me now. Why would you do that;(

PM me the goddammed scans.

i've already read a lot of the articles, they talk about the opening scene, and how you come to be in the places that you come to...they pretty much describe the first 5-10min of the game...it's not that bad, and actually really cool. It sort of reminds of HL 1.

wtf

No offense dude, but that does not compute!

I guess if you put a Barbie doll in the microwave for a little bit you might get an enemy from BioShock...

I don't know what's more worrying... that you owned barbie dolls or that you owned so many you had to execute some of them.

I am in limbo with renting (buying maybe) for 360 or buying and attempting to run on my PC. The thought of playing with a gamepad though sickens me. I'd rather drink from a cancer patient's bed pan.

I have an AMD X2 4800, 2gig ram, and a 7900GT 256 and I don't feel I have gotten my money's worth out of it in the game department. I just wish PC gaming would die off already, save me some green.

Call me crazy but that machine should be fine for something like Bioshock.

For a game like Bioshock i'd choose a pad everytime. Somethine like UT3, m&k all the way.

You are probably right but I tried to run that Overlord demo and even at lowest settings it ran like shit so that got me worried.

I will just buy Bioshock and see how it runs. If I can't get high setting I will just set it aside. I've never been able to be satisfied with playing a game at medium or low settings for the sake of just being able to play it.

chu, there'll be a PC demo for BioShock too most likely, so why not just try it before you buy it?:)

I run a 22inch on a 7900GS there are a few things I cannot run on max quality, hardly bothers me at all.
