Angry Lawyer, I wonder, as far as I can see, Valve denying the existence of BMs still wouldn't work if things ever got as far as court. A reasonable claim could be made that Valve were aware of BMS but chose not to comment, as opposed to being unaware (which is probably what Valve would like to claim). Just like I read a legal letter against some webmaster of a torrent site that mentioned that it was not plausible he (the webmaster) couldn't recognize some famous movie titles as copyrighted content.

You're stating the opposite situation - someone infringing and claiming ignorance, instead of being infringed upon and claiming ignorance.

Anyways, there is no problem. Black Mesa have no intention of selling their product, and Valve have stepped them in the right direction to avoid headaches (removal of "Source"), so everyone wins.

you forget this isn't any normal HL2 mod your talking about here, there alot to be done in order of the modifying the source engine to suit there needs, making lots upon lots custom textures, models, toilet brushs and etc

they really don't have time for media every month...
