Don't forget that as far as casualties go, this is FAR smaller an event.
according to the USGS, more than 283,100 people died in the tsunami, google's highest number is 12-15 thousand for the flood.

what does that have to do with anything? a LOT more aid was also sent to that area of the world. ~10 billion, 2 billion of which was sent by the US. the tsunami is completely irrelevant. its great to see the many countries that care though, particularly sri lanka and cuba.

I believe that someone was complaining that the US gave so much for the tsunami and yet isnt getting much in return. I was stating that the two events were very different things, therefore, a comparison must take that into consideration.

lets be honest. there is a difference between taking some bread and taking a garbage bag full of stuff. i dont know why you people assume the best in these looters, but i am willing to assume (regardless of skin color) that there is something other than food in that garbage bag. probably because there is beer right next to it.

I believe thats Pepsi. And maybe that Pepsi was the only/best substitute for water that was at the grocery store? After all i'd suspect that person wasn't the only one looking for food & water.
